I see it. It's a definite subliminal addition. There's no need for the X to be so curved on that side when the other side is perfectly straight. It makes the X looks strange in the blown up pic.

I get it now. Its facing to the left and exploits the entire right side of the x.
Can't make a determination on whether or not its deliberate though.
