well you are by saying i am a sinner?

if you say to me you are right and i am wrong and god will make that choice for me

that means i am a sinner. because you are right and god loves you and i am wrong because i think god is full of you know what.

so if god made me and you and the conflict was it for a joke? just to test us?

i think what ever created all of what we see think and here does not care or is even aware that we are here....

humans are arrogant. we are special.. really? how? why are we special?

could you breath without a tree? would a flower pollinate without the bee?

do you see? my point is that god is not some stupid bloke who sits above us playing chess with our live

we do that not him

what ever made us just made us

just like i make a cup of coffee .... do i love my coffee? lol no but i do like the taste

how did i make my coffee, hot water spoon blah blah ect..

you are just one part of a bigger picture and using god as some "i dont know" is what makes the world go to war

based on the lack of education and the past...

we use to hunt in the forrest wayyy befor gods son showed up.. how do you explain that?

god was bored? pft

I think you are pretty close to the answer - I agree that it is like a test for us. God created us, placed us on Earth and gives us a chance to do His work, worship Him, choose Him. But if we choose satan, then yep, there will be consequences.

Have you ever watched any of the youtube videos of the people that have died for a short time and then came back talking about things they saw while they were 'dead'?
Well, there are now videos of people giving testimony of dying and being sent to hell or almost to it and they come back describing what God allowed them to see.

I can't help but believe that God is allowing these things to happen so that people can come back and witness to us - believers and non believers.

There have been waaaaaaay too many medical miracles that have happened that make me think that God has His own way(s) of letting people know He's still around, and very much in control.

This one is especially interesting - if you want to watch it that is.

A man named Bill Weiss died in a plane (I think a plane?) crash and was on his way to hell - and the video is him describing it. His face is disfigured so if you have a problem with that sort of thing, don't watch it.

I haven't called you a 'sinner' though - honey, I'M a sinner, we all are. My concern with you, and anyone else that falls into the category of 'non believer' is this -
If you don't believe and receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, then there isn't a chance for salvation, or Heaven.

If you do believe, receive salvation and then try your best to follow God's laws, then there is a chance - a good one that you will spend eternity in Heaven.

But flat out not believing - and refusing Jesus as your Savior is a definite dangerous thing - if you care about where you spend eternity I mean.

Bottom line, we don't have to be perfect to receive Jesus' salvation. He was the only perfect man that ever walked on Earth, or ever will walk on Earth. God is merciful but He can't be unless He's given a chance.

Contrary to what Oprah and others may say, mankind will spend eternity in one of two places - Heaven or hell. We don't just stay dead.
Our eternal home is entirely up to us where we choose to spend it.

lol ok, I suppose that's one way of looking at it?

Our free will and choice is the key - think about if we didn't have that. We would be walking around pre-programmed pretty much - like Stepford Humans.
What kind of world would that be - like a five year old sitcom rerun over and over.

God gives us a choice to do what's right - or what's wrong. It's entirely everyone's choice on what choices they do make. God isn't going to pressure anyone into choosing one or the other - or Him or satan.

Now...... satan on the other hand - that's an entirely different story. He is working overtime right now to win as many souls as he can - people that say "I dont' believe in God but I'm not following satan either" are being deceived.

If you are against God, you are for satan - forget all of the 'religions' and 'new age theories' that mankind has created over the centuries. When it comes down to it, yes Armageddon, every one of us, if we haven't already, will have to make a choice - follow God or follow satan. Mankind, and people such as Oprah, are who have brainwashed the mass people into believing that we have all these "choices" of gods or "religions" and we can just "Pick One, Pick Any One - they all are basically the same".

Again, you have the choice of buying into that, or believing and following Christ.

Ooo, I think I see the normal scare tactic in there, the whole, your with satan thing... I think that is one of the big errors of the bible, and religion, adding a hell and a satan. This is the controlling part of Religions, If you dont do this, Boom, Do Not Pass Go, Go straight to Hell... This is a no-go.

I am a man without religion. I am not Atheist, Agnostic, or any other wonderful category. Just so we are aware, that Im not Atheist trying to God bash here.

Im just a realistic person. I look at what are known to be the truths, even if they must change later, I change. Change is inevitable... Unless of course from a vending machine... jk....

Rekar

Just try to keep in mind that mankind is the one responsible for creating "religion" and everything that goes with it - Buddah, Allah, Gurus, etc.

God didn't create 'religion' - He created us and the universe, whatever else is out there too. And He set down laws and rules like any normal Father would for His children.

And you are correct on we follow them or there will be consequences. Again - everyone has to make that choice on their own.

save me from what? hell?

are you telling me that i need to be saved or i burn for ever?

bring it on... cant be much worst than being on this dumb ass planet...

I just want to think about when i get to the gates.. what if the open them and i want to go to hell and not heaven?

what if i want to burn in hell...?

what if you are satan? and by questioning you creator you create hell on earth

did you ever think of that?

did you ever think man him self is satan? i bet you didnt did you...

i love this kinda debate.. and i just want to say i respect your views but i will challenge them and the reason for doing so is my own life.

and just to add... i do not fear "a god" or "hell"

i fear human beings with no brains.. and that was not directed at you just to make sure it was not derogatory in any way.

and by that i mean the only thing i fear is LIFE .. i did not remember being here and i will not rememeber not being here because ill be either burning in hell or living it up large in heaven BORED out my skull...

But what do you expect Him to do when we start doing evil things - send us to our rooms with no supper?

Be a whole lot less heartbreaking than what I've been thru..... Death would actually be welcomed in this case.

God is merciful but He can't be unless He's given a chance.

And for those of us who GAVE him that chance? What are we, on backorder? Did God get lost? He forget? Do we have to do a special dance? Cartwheels?

I am about to chuck it all 100% and tell the whole bunch to take a permanent hike, myself. Toss out the bible, refuse all church invites, and not talk about God- because to be honest, all I can talk about is how miserable my life's been!

I wish I had NEVER become a Christian. I wish I never knew about Jesus. At least when I make a mistake, it's MY mistake- Unlike listening at length about "God's in control!" and then.... when it all goes right down the crapper, and I blame God- I am in the wrong. Christianity is so confusing, it's not even remotely funny, k? Example of me making a mistake: I managed to erase something VERY vital to the operation of this computer the other night. Goodbye Windows. I grumbled, realized what I did wrong, grabbed the XP disk....

Example of When God goes wrong, but you're not to DARE say it like that: watching crap happen that you a) had no idea would happen. b) you did the exact opposite and expected the proper outcome, only to.... c) You end up just like a character in a WB cartoon- blown to charred ruins in the middle of a blast crater, and the only question you can ask is "What JUST HAPPENED??????" And then you get 22 choruses of "God's in control, but Satan controls earth, don't question it, just sing along or ELSE."

*tears the remaining hair out of head*

Christianity like all religions arose out of a need to control the masses, and it is basically a cut and copy of various other religions and myths.
Here is some interesting reading: www.religioustolerance.org...

Of course you will probably dismiss it as the devils work or some other nonsense, just remember its only information, nothing evil about it. And if christians are being persecuted then too bad, they have been doing it all through history, doesnt the bible say some crap about an eye for an eye. About time it worked both ways.

The Bible states that God will only heal a nation if they choose to repent and turn from their sin(s).

The Bible tells us what will happen if mankind doesn't repent - and if mankind did? As the Bible says, God would heal our nation/world.

I know what the Bible states, which is why I would like to ask your opinion on the subject. I could easily come back with a statement from the Bible and end it there, but it would not be my own opinion. What is your opinion about having a textbook that claims that it can predict the end of the world and how it is going to end in exact detail, yet given this knowledge the people who believe in it do nothing about it, besides pray?

My argument is that if someone truly believed in the book and the prophecies then that person would be doing far more than sitting back and enjoying the fireworks.

I think this is a very intelligent question.
I'll be interested to see the answers.

Unexplained Medical incident where someone survives

MIRACLE OF GOD!

Child dying of cancer

GOD'S WILL-WHO ARE WE TO QUESTION IT?

I will start believing in Miracles when I see some limbs start to grow back.

AND No I will not let you attempt to say "God gave mankind SCIENCE to heal people!"

BECAUSE if the God of the bible gave man Science the Scientific Method would have been ingrained in stone and handed down to mankind right along with the Ten Commandments.

I do not know about you, but if I was the Devil and it was just me and God and no one else around I would get a little bored of playing "Hey Watch This!". After a while and I would say "Hey bro can I get a turn at that magic power thing?" then God says "NO WAY DUDE! You do not get to play." I would be pretty pissed as well.

Why didn't God at least have an election to see who got to have the Power? Maybe they could have taken turns with the power? That would have been at least fair.

I am suprised that no one has brought up the fact that the majority of modern Christianity isn't even based on the teachings of Jesus, but Paul of Tarsus. Contradictions between the two men's teachings are all over the place in the bible; I won't list them here for the sake of brevity. Anyone who cares to research will find them. I would also be interested in seeing the response to the gentleman who pointed out that it was prophesised that Jesus would be named Emmanuel.
