Seems that our soon-to-be supreme court justice has decided to change her tune a little bit...

"I want to state up front, unequivocally and without doubt: I do not believe that any ethnic, racial or gender group has an advantage in sound judging," Sotomayor said on the second day of the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on her nomination by President Obama to be the first Hispanic justice on the the nation's highest court.

Hmm....do you think it has anything to do with her audience?

Sotomayor is a gender feminist.

She believes in identity politics.

Her statement about "a wise latina woman" vs. "a white man" was not just a single poor choice of words.

It was a plank of her judicial platform which she repeated many times in her public speaking engagements.

She states before Congress that she believes that a judge's sole job is to interpret the law, but she is on record as having stated that legislating from the bench is what judges should do.

Sotomayor is a radical leftist.

Bias is her stock and trade.

Stand by.

what about the castrate white men and end their dominance quote...

maybe that just didnt come out right i guess....

"I want to be perfectly clear about this next comment so that there is no mistaking my words to mean something other than what they plainly say: the time has come to end white male oppression by castrating every white male until they are no longer dominant in Western culture. That means forcible removal of their testicles. I realize the brutality of my comment, and I don’t know how to say it more clearly.”

-Sonya Sotomayor

guess that was taken way out of context too....

Wow. That seems a little extreme. Can we limit the forced castrations to those in power, or is it EVERY white male? I'm holding my legs slightly tighter together. My son? He's only twelve, but we should nip in the bud, so to speak, huh?

I am offended she accepted to take the nomination in the first place. I personally feel the only reason it was offered to her is because she is Hispanic. She should have taken the offer based on her credentials, not her color.

I also feel that her words were not of poor choice. I would have at least felt better about her if she had owned up to her words.

If Hispanics and blacks don't like to be discriminated against, I don't see why they think or feel that whites would like it any better.

Racial discrimination is no different than reverse discrimination IMO.

I agree completely. We have more than one account of her 'opinion' changing, depending on her audience. She claimed that she was only 'following precedent' in one case and then turns around joking about making laws.

Unfortunately, the American people have no say in anything anymore so it's not like we stop this train and get off. She'll get appointed, so that the plan can continue.

Run away, run away.

Can you link where this came from please? If she said that then wow. That's not even evil that's just plain mean. I like my balls, what did they ever do to her?
