Apparently this silliness will continue by the far-right for the next 3 1/2 years... Instead, we need to face the mess the country was left in by George W. and work together to fix it... You might not agree with President Obama but at least he is trying to do something about the train wreck left by Bush... Mistakes will be made along the way but the end result will be infinitely better than the past 8 years of lies, deception and arrogance... (By the way, I am not an elite liberal... I'm a 55 year old Vietnam Vet, NASCAR loving, mechanical engineer)...

Some African guy writes some stuff in an article, & wah-La! Proof Obama isn't really our Pres!

Oh boy, another person who does not read posts.

Again, I did not say this is proof of anything. Only this is another small piece of a much larger puzzle. Reading and comprehension is your friend.

It's only a piece to a much larger puzzle if it is correct. Otherwise, you're just jumping to conclusions. I'm surprised the McCain's people would not have fought harder if this were true.

Just like most of your silliness regarding Bush.

Obama has done more damage in 6 months than Bush did in 8 years.

Well, we will not know if it's correct until we question all the inconsistencies. Obama can easily end it all by showing us his original birth certificate. Simple really. Yet he refuses to do so along with tons of other documents like college records and other similar docs. Transparent my a$$.

Well, then, that's my mistake. But when you start out with such a glaring error perhaps you shouldn't be so dramatic when someone points it out.

It's only dramatic after someone points it out for the 5th or 6th time after it was clarified in a post later.

How hilarious. You post a politically baiting thread, don't follow ATS posting guidelines, state INCORRECT FACTS in OP, then admonish those who dare question your motives.

Consider yourself lucky if someone reads any of your subsequent posts after reading the first one. (As if the burden is on them to find your corrections.)

Why not try to put a little more effort in crafting an accurate, erudite entry rather than jumping the gun like Barney Fife?

Then perhaps you'd be taken seriously. But don't hold your breath.

On 2nd thought, please do.

Not even close, but that would be another endless and pointless debate with you... I am not a huge Obama fan but he's much better than a POTUS who was "asleep at the wheel" for 8 years...

I'll agree with the transparency my ass statement. However, if he really is not a natural born citizen then pretty much the whole federal government is covering his ass. If they are, we've got bigger problems then him because, it doesn't matter who's in power. McCain would have been the same because "They" would have allowed him to take the presidency.

That is your wrong opinion.

don't follow ATS posting guidelines

Like what? Guidelines were followed.

state INCORRECT FACTS in OP

It is NOT an incorrect fact.
It's called a typo and by the time I realized the mistake, it was to late to edit the post. So get off it already.

then admonish those who dare question your motives.

Now you got it. Nodoby questioned my motives except you. So apparently YOU have the problem.
Sweet Jesus!

Oh, I'm did not realize I was in the presence of a gifted perfect person who does not ever make any mistakes. Wow, here we have the worlds first perfect person who goes by the name Kinda Kurious on the internet.

But don't hold your breath. On 2nd thought, please do.

Wow, you are so tolerant. Wishing someone dead just because you don't agree with their views. Classy, just classy.

Yeah, because your constant dribble of an opinion which you try to portray as fact would drive anyone away.

Let it go and move on to another conspiracy or ufo sighting. Whether or not he is a natural-born citizen of the US is a moot point now. Look at what he has done so far: appointed how many people to their political positions? spent how much money giving us a deficit of how much? he was the first what to become POTUS? Follow me? If Obama is proven to not be eligible to be POTUS then everyone he appointed would need to be ousted and the new POTUS would have to through the whole rigamorole again, Afro-Americans would riot, and WHO in their right mind would want walk into this economic crisis NOW? It was bad enough when Obama was selected to be POTUS by the man behind the curtian of deceit. Its over guys. Done. Obama is POTUS will remain POTUS no matter how you put a spin on remarks he has made or will make. Check, please. Time to leave. No flag for this thread, no offense intended.

*Lights up his pipe and sits quietly in the background.*

Look, I'll say this:

I'm a huge supporter of Obama, and I don't have a problem that people suggest he wasn't born in the United States. It's a conspiracy, and despite the fact that I don't believe, I still love conspiracies. It means you guys are open-minded and can discuss it without any harm to you from the government.

BUT COME ON!

Is this a serious thread? He was clearly speaking about his place of birth for his ancestry!

Deny Ignorance! Deny Ignorance!

WhatTheory, I read some of your posts now and then, and I know you're a smart guy. You're definitely not dumb. But come on! Did you honestly believe he was saying he was born in Africa...?

Not checkmate. You just fell for my knight & bishop trap.

I guess you always don't give the full story. Typical.

Here is the rest of the statement which you forgot to paste:

Obviously, some editorial latitude will be allowed if the original headline is too long (gets truncated), too obscure or already biased. If the headline is biased or otherwise inapporpriate, provide a descriptive headline that is accurate and reflects the article you're submitting. (This is a judgement call and may be modified by a moderator.)

The original title of the thread was 'History Beckons' which has nothing to do with the point I wanted to make so by following the rules, I provided a 'descriptive headline' that reflects my point.

Now it's checkmate.
Thanks for playing.

Even if I would have given you this point, it's only one out of the 4 I posted so you are only at 25%.

That makes sense. "History Beckons" would have yielded a favorable and monumental significance to his visit as was the intent of the article. That would hardly serve your purpose, so you simply "cherry-picked" an obscure quote so as to spew your bias to make an irrelevant point.

I'll concede the posting rules are vague and offer wide latitude. So see you are wrong again, I'm not perfect.

Yeah, GAME OVER I'm done playing. The intent of your thread (as most others) is quite obvious. Not just to me. Read the vast majority of other replies.

OK, you can breathe now.

Are you quite serious? According to the Consitution of the United States of American, the President must be born on US soil. I don't know if Obama was born here or not, I would hope he was. But the consitution must be followed. That much, I am absolutely sure of.

This would be funny if it weren't so pathetic. TPTB gave you a choice of mouthpiece; Obama vs McCain, right?
No.
No populace on earth would ever vote for the liars that took them into unpopular war. The choice of new liars was between Hilary Clinton or Barack Obama. Y'all chose the black man over the woman. Do any of you really think that there will ever be some public exposure of a foreign birth certificate? Wherever he came from, Obama is POTUS & if y'all dont understand why the USA needed a friendlier face than any Republican, you need to understand that the USA comprises 1/20th of the world's population & is in so much debt that, without a smiling clown upfront, there'd be no choice but to pay your debts or start nuclear war.
