I was wondering if anyone has voted for UFO Hunters season 4. I know some people complain about it here all the time, but I am honestly surprised about that. it's a hell of a lot more legitimate than a lot of material online(it doesn't touch on stupid subjects that constantly show up...somewhere) and it does what it can for an hour. It opens stories that are beyond the typical "videos, pictures" and the general unreliable crap. They do a lot of trace cases and stuff that I normally wouldn't have known about. I guess I'm not a hardcore UFO person but those things are new to me and much more verifiable than lights in the sky.

And I really feel bad for Bill Birnes too, the poor man really tries to put on a show. He has a real personality that is not quite so crazy as they make him on TV if you heard him actually talking outside of that show. Lastly, I haven't seen any other UFO shows for a long time. Is it because I have limited channels or what? Anyways, UFO Hunters is still better than most of the ones I've seen with the cheesy X files themes and regurgitated material..

I did.

I heard from a bird. Or blogger.

That they made all the episodes for season three but haven't decided to play them yet.

Although Dr.House starts back up in September!

I voted, and even if they are not perfect they are doing a better job than most have done.
I wondered why the show just stopped without warning! And I for one have not gone back to the channel that it was on!
Not because I am mad, just because it was a show that I wanted to watch and then sometimes watched others.
I have to wonder who is in charge of some of these channels as they will take off shows that people really like to watch.

And UFO hunters was watched and then spoken about on forums all over the world. There reasoning just does not make sense sometimes.

Haven't been able to watch it because I got rid of cable for a little while, but I was starting to get annoyed by how Bill Birnes would act on the show.

I've seen him in other things and he seems completely normal in them. Then you get to UFO Hunters and you just want to smack the guy and tell him to shut up. If he wants the subject taken seriously, he should take the show more seriously. Not act how they want him to act.

I enjoyed all episodes of UFO hunters better than most of the crap they put on TV tbh.
Maybe after 2 series they found out that aliens dont exist lol.

I hope they do go ahead with series 3 and continue to carry onto a 4th.
You get enough of those crappy ghost hunting shows so why not more of the UFO stuff.

There will surely be some more credible evindence to investigate in the future.
I guess there will be another main stream UFO show to replace it.

If they got rid of Bill and got Ted back, they would have a top-notch respectable show. Ted was the only real grounding force and Bill is just... well, I hope the only reason they keep him around is laughs and ratings, lets leave it at that. "You're a hybrid!"

I still have about 15 issues of UFO magazine.
Last one was about 2002 i think.

They used bill to stereotype the rest of the UFO believers "This is what a UFO nut looks like" i guess.

I guess they could of used a better person than bill but they wanted the viewers to see What a UFO believer really looks like.

Now if someone like Stanton Friedman was co host then they wouldnt make the UFO believers look like a bunch of crazy's would they...

I think Pat is the best representative of a more rational UFO 'believer'. Bill is an example of a UFO nutcase - a person who thinks he understands UFOs; he runs on a full tank of speculation, hope and imagination, with evidence and logic on empty.

Stanton is a good example of an intelligent person with miles and miles of experience under his belt, but sometimes he goes a little out there. Absolutely a good choice - but he is one busy man, I sincerely doubt he could ever commit to a television show.

Since they started the campaign to save the show, UFO Hunters seems to have been pulled off the air. The last four episodes of the third season have yet to air, and the fourth season is up in the air. The one problem is they did not have the usual break between the second and third season, airing the third right after the second season's finale. I think they may have decided to cancel the show while the third season was still being made.

They seem to be changing the format of the channel, to one that is action oriented with Axe Men and Ice Truckers. Both of those shows are highly rated and attract a specific audience. UFO Hunters does not have a specific audience and may not be what the advertisers want.

At least it was real.
Investigative and at least new.

To fill the void I had a number of web talk radio download links.
I saved one in my profile.

Got to follow direction and it should work, its still there
at bottom on page:

The UFO Town Meeting!

This show will deal with the UFO enigma andwhat the truth is.
I will have on my show guests such as Dennis Balthaser, Stanton Friedman,
and others pro and con that will show how the UFO Enigma has effected us
in the world today!

I jhad cable installed...anxious to watch UFO Hunters.....and it is never on, not even re-runs! Why don't they show re-runs? They show all these other re-run shows but not UFO Hunters. Darn, I was so excited to get cable to watch this ufo show and now..what a bummer.

Those are good characterizations. I was sad to see Ted Ackworth go though, his replacement isn't bad but not quite as good.

Notice the Ghost Hunters seems to continue running more than UFO Hunters. The Ghost hunters team seems to be a little bit more balanced skeptics, with enough open-mindedness to make the show interesting. Pat has that kind of balance. Replacing Bill Birnes with someone a little less "out there" might make UFO hunters seem a little more objective like Ghost Hunters seems to be. If not Stanton Friedman, there must be other choices that would give the show more credibility than Bill, or maybe as someone suggested, Bill's not that far out there in real life, he might just be doing that for the entertainment value? I don't know him so I can't say.

The other point is, what else have you got for UFO entertainment on TV or cable? Not much. We have some UFO entertainment here though some of the believers here make Bill Birnes look like a skeptic by comparison, it can be a little hard to wade through that sometimes.

Is this the link bananasam meant?

UFO hunters petition

That's a petition, I don't know if there's more than one.

that is correct. I didn't post the link because I didn't want to get mistaken for some kind of advertising scheme

Cool, thanks for confirming.

I understand why the mods would have problems with advertising schemes, this isn't a place to promote commercial products unless you pay to advertise, but I don't see anything of a commercial nature in that link so I thought it should be OK to post, at least, it's definitely not marketing or advertising anything for sale.

Now if the petition works and they are able to keep the show on cable TV, we'll be able to see plenty of advertising on TV!
