Part of the new strategy for the global environmentalist crowd, inject classism. Instead of all of us taking personal responsibility, at whatever level, it seems that there always has to be a monster in the closet. In this case its the rich.

Here's an idea... Take the power out of these groups hands and make the decision yourself. Before buying something take a look at the company that produces it. If they have a policy that you don't like, don't buy it.

How about the 'green celebrity' crowd try a little leadership by example. Give up the huge houses, the private jets, then come talk to the rest of us. The whole carbon offsets is the modern equivalent of indulgences. They buy their way away from environmental 'sin', while continuing to live as they wish.

It is interesting how we don't hear 'global warming' any longer, just 'climate change'.

well they do create incredible amounts of pollution on average, simply because they can afford to create more than people with no $$$

but i do agree with your premise, that the government should have no hand in this at all

it is up to us the consumers, to educate each other and boycott corporations that play dirty, in order to punish them and force them to clean up their act (pun intended)

It's not about giving up the huge houses... it's about powering them more efficiently and with lower emissions.

Solar Panels... etc
