About as on as you could be. Sure I have my issues with some of that, but that's sounds "logical" where as printing a bunch of paper and entering a bunch of digits into a system at the tax payers expense is "illogical." Not only that, but trying to overhaul the entire U.S. medical system and passing a cap and trade with no corporate regulations that will cause chaos and tax hikes when we need our money is the worst "mistake" they could make.

If I was an obvious kind of person, I might say they're doing this on purpose... Our government wouldn't do that, now would they?

I would have immediately cut all taxes, individual and corporate taxes to 11%.

I wouldn't. I definitely wouldn't cut corporate taxes. They are the ones surviving this mess...not people. What I would do is cut taxes on the middle class....but not corporate...and increasing tariffs on IMPORTS is a necessity.

No one ever brings that up...and until we find a way to keep jobs in this country...and make it possible for small businesses to thrive...it won't matter what tax system we have.

This country needs more revenue...and they aren't going to get it from broke citizens and corporations who won't pass the money on to us. The trans-national corporations have a stranglehold on this country. We need to take it back.

We've seen that the money doesn't come down...trickle down doesn't work...but neither does trickle up because that money just goes back to the banks because of interest and loans...since most of this country is in some form of debt.

NAFTA.....Anti-trust laws.....the flat out "Crazy" notion that corporations have the same rights as individuals......

We repeal nafta..enforce anti trust laws...that would be a great start.

The system we are under is not capitalism...it's not socialism....it's corporatism headed for fascism...and nothing Obama has done has changed any of that....I think some who thought he was against them are starting to see otherwise.

Maybe because under Obamas term already the Federal Reserve Board sayd the total amount of money totally available is risen by 271% in the last 5 months?!

This might be a good reason to hate him, but i doubt if he could have done anything about it.
Hyperinflation will be a question of when, not if.
Because consumerspending and industrial investments and investments in general have been lowered very much, more even then in the 30s great depression.

So, what will be when all this extra money (271% in last 5 months!) floods the market when the economy will be better?

I guess is in the next year and a half there will be hyperinflation, double digits, thats unheard of. And yes, Obama still president then, he keeps spending..

But it wont be the usa alone, Everywhere in the world this happens, so one can only see and watch what eventually will happen...

It is just a myth that we are going to have debt doomsday and it is going to destroy us all.

Fact is, national economics are very complicated, I coudlnt' even begin to explain them in ways that are understandable. And people who think we have to work for generations to pay it off haven't even begin to grasp it.

it is not a literal debt that you actually pay off. It doesn't work that way. A lot of the money we have received we don't even have to pay for. But again, that is a literal translation.

This country has actually been in worse debt several times before. Recently as WWII which was twice as bad. It is a tact many many nations have used many many times previously and it is a system that works.
Right now Britians debt is actually twice as bad as ours. But they are not standing in bread lines.

Trying to convince us that our great great grandchildren are going to be paying this off is nothing more then slander and a scare tactic.

1: Because its fun.

2: Because it gives the real racists something other than race to hate him for.

3: Because its free-ing to go against the clintonistas.

4: Because obama rhymes with osama (see todays ats post " obama is osama WITH video)".

5: Because he is far too slick to be believable.

6: Because of that photo with that italian tard berlusconi.

7: Because he is already toe-ing the line, considering all his campaign promises.

8: Because there's a lot of people who percieve his birth certificate to be fake.

9: Because he's made some questionable administration picks.

10: Because he's just another politician, despite what the sheep think and the media portray.

There's ten reasons, in no particular order.

Yeah...we've been in debt pretty much since the beginning of the country...even directly after the Revolutionary War. What's the difference from now and all of our history?

WE DON"T PRODUCE ANYTHING!!!! We exported more than we imported during at the great depression....not to mention...a war can't pull us out of this...we've been at war for 8 years...we've had 3 rounds of stimulus...2 from Bush...one from Obama.

It's not better...it's worse. Trickle down...trickle up...doesn't matter.

To stave off inflation the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates...which they WILL have to do. What does that mean? Interest rates on car loans, houses....ANYTHING will INCREASE. It's already tough for people to get loans now....it will be even more difficult.

Don't think it can't get bad? Debt doesn't just go away. The reason it hasn't killed us is BECAUSE of inflation....decrease the value of our debt to make it easier to obtain...the problem is we never obtain it because the spending never stops.....it's just a huge hidden tax that we are constantly hit with. Not long ago one parent could work and raise a family....not anymore for most. I wonder why.

This isn't all fantasy. It is real. No one knows exactly how bad it will be...but it WILL get worse...it has to.

It's not a myth, it's fact. Anyone with a modicum of understanding the complexitities of economics knows this. We are mired in a ponzi scheme of epic proportions. Do some research on the Fed.

I am too tired to get into a lengthy explaination - but suffice it to say, financially, economically... we are headed for some tough times ahead as the debt spring unwinds.

The reality is everything that we've tried, we've done in the past and it has worked to some degree or another. The difference... this time none of them are working. Believe me when I tell you that they are more shocked and worried about this than they are letting onto - including the banksters. Their plan is no longer working - and the world is wise to the scheme. Expect them to go down fighting and try to take as many of us with them as possible.

Back on topic: Obama is a major assclown of epic proportions. The fact that people like Obama and Al Franken even get elected tells me that this country has finally reached the absolute bottom of the "Stupid" barrell!

I think hate is being used wrongly here. I don't hate the man.

I hate that he lied when he said he would not have any Lobbyists in his Cabinet and then appointed many.

I hate that he said he would have no person beholding to a Special Interest in his Administration which is a clear lie.

I hate that he put a Tax Cheat in charge of the IRS.

I hate that he thinks spending money like a mad man and encouraging Congress to pass Bills they have not even read is a solution to this countries problems.

I hate that he keeps apologizing for America when he was elected to be our strongest advocate.

I hate that he has spent more than all Presidents in history combined and yet he criticizes those who did far less damage than he has done.

I hate that many of his policies are anti Small Business.

I hate that he wants to destroy the finest Medical Care on Earth by copying systems that have failed in other countries.

As far as Obama personally, he seems not so bad. He is the result of his never having held a leadership position and spending his whole life with Far Left academicians and involved with Socialist idea's, programs and with radicals in the clearly Racist church he attended for over 20 years and his association with an admitted domestic terrorist.

I'm amazed at how many of his supporters know nothing about him and voted for him because of his color or his charisma. Most I know who supported him could not answer any questions about his policies and they don't seem to care. I wish the illiterate and the uninvolved would not vote.

Because he is no better than any president before or after him. He is simply a seat filler to do the bidding of those behind the scenes. He's either already reneged or indicated that he will on many of his promises. He's just a pawn, a puppet, a Manchurian candidate, if you will (to use too many cliches!).

His entire cabinet consists of wall street goons, members of the Trilateral Commission and the Council on Foreign Relations. This spell bad news for a democratic free society.

Let alone the fact that ANYONE Henry Kissinger endorses is on my you-know-what list.

But to be more specific:

The main thing that should show you what kind of a liar he is, is the fact that MANY lobbyists have been appointed to his cabinet and he swore he would do whatever he could to try to run those slime balls out of Washington. It's sickening.

He's not going to end the war, he's actually even expanded it. That alone should peeve Obama supporters off.

He supported the bailout package AND signed the "stimulus" bill. These two things ended America as we know it more than anything else, IMO.

He supported the FISA bill! How can any Obama supporter justify that?

He fired the CEO of a private corporation and replaced him with a government crony. THAT is un-American, my friend and way outside the scope of the President's job description. It should scare the heck out of you.

I'm not a conservative, just so you know. My issues with him are most certainly not partisan ones. They have to do with the integrity of the constitution (which he and Bush have wiped their butts with) and he (and Bush) trying to move even closer to a New World Order.

You might wince when I say such things but those three words have been oozing out of his mouth and other leaders' mouths freely ever since he took office.

The war funding bill that was just passed included a provision to hand over billions of dollars to the IMF. This was a blatant move to get us even closer to "their" goals of a one world government/monetary system.

Oh, and one of the worst things yet? He wants to give extraordinary powers to the Federal Reserve. The Fed is a private entity that operates outside of any government oversight and he wants to give them to power to shut down companies that can be deemed as being too risky to the economy?? Is he serious? That gives me the shivers every time I think about it. This is the perfect recipe for building up companies that will mesh with a world gov't and shut down those that won't.

You should really do your research.

while I agree to some extent that Barry isn't doing the greatest job I also ask myself what I would do different while I have a few ideas there is certain areas that I would have no idea what to do. He came into a horrible situation. I am not a supporter but do believe its a little early to tell. Your anger should be pointed at wall st. and the banksters. Maybe the Bilderbergs and the Illuminati members... IMHO. They destroyed this country without any help needed from the gov't.

I think the so called "hate" is developing to counter all the love and adoration people have for Obama.
The sad thing is that those that are calling for Obama bashing to stop are not objective enough to see what is going on.

Here a teleprompter, there a telprompter, everywhere a teleprompter.

Obama is trying to control the press and he is also trying to control the people, yet not everybody is easily hoodwinked and bamboozled.
Everything is blatantly scripted and now Helen Thomas is calling him out on it.

Let's be real here, if Bush had spent half the money that Obama has already spent, people would be outraged like never before.
But since it's Obama doing the spending, now it's OK.

Nothing Obama plans to do will never, ever be wrong.

It's like there is some type of major Neuro Linguistic Programming experiment at play here on a global scale, yet the Obamabots don't see it.

He came into a bad situation, and one that he helped to get that way, but they want to blame it on the previous administration as if it was irrepairable in the first place. Which is in direct contrast to what he was saying months prior to being elected president. It's not like he's taken any real radical steps to correct his past judgements that have proved already to be grave mistakes, either. He's allowing corporatism to roll the wheels of his change, which for us is sucking more and more by the day. Only after the banks and banking system have rape and pillaged any trace of American wealth, hand in hand with the Federal Reserve that they say "Oh, yeah... We had no idea how bad this was going to be."

Of course they knew and better yet, they allowed it to happen while throwing pick and rolls the whole time to their friends in the banking industry.

Quick list of Obama's top campaign contributors:

Goldman Sachs
JPMorgan Chase & Co
Citigroup Inc
UBS AG
Lehman Brothers
Morgan Stanley

His motives so far have been to protect, defend, and enable the banking systems at all costs. It has nothing to do with the plight of your average American citizen. Nothing whatsoever.

Do you have anything to say besides toeing the partisan line and regurgitating talking points?

The reason why people on the right don't like Obama is because we don't know anything about him. He kept it all secret and still is. The people on the right knew what kind of person he was, but we all got bashed saying this and that isn't true and all that, and wow imagine that its all happening.

I could easily just say the people that agree with Obama agree with him because he is a progressive democrat. That would be the true description of him, he is a progressive, aka Socialist or some kind of wired mix of a socialist and a corporatist. He is most definitely not a liberal.

The fact is he is destroying this country, and his platform of "change" is the same road we have been heading down. The left only agrees with it because it is "their guy" doing it.

Edit - spelling and grammar

[edit on 6-7-2009 by Hastobemoretolife]

I have to agree with your straight forward description on the rights view of Obama.

Many folks on the left feel its a personal thing but it is the love of our country that fuels our passion. We all want a stand up guy as President who will tell us the truth, stick by his promises, and shows compassion towards all Americans. That's what many don't understand. An empty suit won't do, for the reasons mentioned in this thread.

And Grover, if you can't look behind the facade to see the real truths about our political parties and stop with the "toeing the partisan line and regurgitating talking points", you'll be the first person I will use the "Ignore" button on as you have not had anything useful to add on any on-going conversations in quite a while, IMHO. The party line all the way, ad nauseum...........................

In truth, politics in this country is a lot like having a choice in the manner of your death. In this game, it's either death by strangulation, or death by hanging. The results are the same, one just takes a little longer.

You've got to get past the divide and conquer routine that is destroying this country and join the Americans that know we are being hosed by BOTH of the two parties and are trying to do something about it.

If you're not going to be part of the solution, hush up and step to the side.

I for one, am tired of hearing it.

The hard right hates Obama for the same reason they hated Clinton...They are liberals and Democrats...pure and simple. If Jesus Christ had gotten elected president as a liberal Democrat...they would hate him too. They have repeatedly proven themselves to be not only sore losers but even worse winners. All you have to do is listen to their media spokesmen like mush loosebowels or ann coulter, michael savage etc to know that.

I'm going to change a few words in that.....

Here's another version.

-------

The hard left hates Bush for the same reason they hated Reagan...They are Conservatives and Republicans...pure and simple. If Jesus Christ had gotten elected president as a Conservative Republican...they would hate him too.

They have repeatedly proven themselves to be not only sore losers but even worse winners.

All you have to do is listen to their media spokesmen like Ed Schultz, Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, Tohm Hartmann.

-------

See what I did there Grover?

I made your statement look like one of rrConservative's posts....who is known for his all out Democrat/Obama bashing with no basis or integrity...just garbage.

You 2 are one in the same...you just don't know it. Maybe you two can go join the "hardcore political bias" club.

That is utter nonsense. Talk about toeing a line.

And no I don't toe a party line...I don't care what the talking heads on TV say...they are not my source for either news or opinion...

OHHH someone is threatening to ignore me...I shudder in my boots.

I love the double standard...you guys spout party rhetoric all the time and take me to task for it...if it weren't so pathetic it would be funny.

I stand by my statement.

I remember right after Clinton was elected in 92 Bob Dole was on TV saying that they weren't going to give him a honeymoon... the right is a bunch of sore losers and that is the gist of all the Obama hate. He could haul out a gold plated endorsed by the Supreme Court and you guys still wouldn't believe it. And the same is true with everything else about him as well... it stinks of xenophobia.

No, it is not utter nonsense. He is a liar is what he is, We don't know his grades from his college, who paid for him to go to school. It's like pulling teeth trying to get any information out of him that isn't about his family.

There is a difference between knowing who someone is because they tell you what they are and their actions match what they said and somebody that says they are something and their actions do not match what they are telling people.

He is a straight up socialist, possible communist with a fascist streak. That is what we can gather, but the left will sit here and tell us no he isn't no he isn't. So we are making an attempt to find out who he is and what other connections he has had in his past. Which are all surprisingly hidden and he isn't willing to come clean about it, instead he lies like every other politician.

Yea, some change.

And again you doing the same leftist tactic of changing the subject. You are trying to defend him by saying, oh well this person here, and painting a segment of the population with a very broad brush.

You can't even answer the question we want answer too, that is why you don't even acknowledge the the questions.

So far you have attacked republicans and conservatives, and said Clinton this and now Bob Dole that. This isn't about Clinton or Bob Dole, this is about Obama.

He promised the most open and transparent administration in history, and now we are xenophobic because we are trying to hold him to his promises? We might not have voted for him but while he was campaigning he made that promise to all of us. So we get called names for wanting answers that we had before he was even elected.

And you say we are toeing the party line? You might want to look in a mirror.

I agree with almost nothing you have put forth, In fact in many ways it is a prime example of the attitude that has infected the GOP like a venerial disease

BUT

I was here in 2004 and you know what many Obama supporters need to grow thicker skins, Bush was bashed just as bad. Remember all those threats tomove to Canada

He is fair game even if I don't agree with what's being said
