Its amazing that one country is considering attacking another sovereign country without any provocation, and the rest of the western world is standing
silently by without a slightest hint of condemnation. No wonder there's this great divide between the Muslim and Christian worlds. It is this height
of hypocrisy that makes the west's credibility and it war on terrorism a pathetic joke.
With Irag it was the falsified evidence of WMD, with Afghanistan it was the myth of Osama and 9/11. With Iran, is it going to be a war launched
because of false reporting and misquotes?
Iran has never made any claims in wanting to attack Israel, let alone wiping Israel off the map. In fact, it is the other way around. Israel stands
guilty of persistent insinuations of attacking Iran.
Everytime, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad makes a speech, the west goes into a frenzy and convulsive fit. Yet, if you were to look at his speeches, it
all makes a lot of sense. He is an articulate and thinking person. His only fault seems to be daring to speak on behalf of the Palestinians oppression
by the Zionist regime. A lot of posters in ATS would probably agree with what he is expounding, and in fact, posting threads that share the same
sentiments as his.
Western media has made an art of misrepresenting and vilifying him, as a precursor to possible future attacks by US or Israel. It is the Saddam
Hussien ploy being replayed. Its the same sick story all over again.
Just a short excerpt from Wiki:
en.wikipedia.org...
Regarding Ahmadinejad's statements on Israel and the Holocaust, Shiraz Dossa, a tenured professor at St. Francis Xavier University, in Nova
Scotia, Canada, wrote in June 2007 that "Ahmadinejad has not denied the Holocaust or proposed Israel’s liquidation; he has never done so in any of
his speeches on the subject (all delivered in Farsi/Persian). As an Iran specialist, I can attest that both accusations are false... What Ahmadinejad
has questioned is the mythologizing, the sacralization, of the Holocaust and the “Zionist regime’s” continued killing of Palestinians and
Muslims. He has even raised doubts about the scale of the Holocaust. His rhetoric has been excessive and provocative. And he does not really care what
we in the West think about Iran or Muslims; he does not kowtow to western or Israeli diktat."
