If so, could conditions make an otherwise harmless C or B flare seem more...significant than usual?


I don't know. They are magnetic bodies with gravity so logic would suggest so, but I have posed this portion of your question to a solar physicist and I hope he can manage to find time to answer.

Maybe solarcycle24.com would be another good place to pose this question in the meantime, as I assume any solar scientist is probably quite occupied at the moment and the hobbyists are most likely abuzz on the net.

Also, everyone wanting to see this latest flare in detail, go to the SOHO search page here.

Select the image type (in this case, you want LASCO images with coronagraph), enter the amount of images you want in the "n" field, choose a resolution, choose your format (still images or animated movie)
and click search.

And an edit to include my bad attempt at an animated gif, which I realized half way through making that it is redundant lol!

And as the original poster in that thread asked, Is it normal for EVERY single volcano on that map to be erupting? Do you think it might have something to do with the flare ect?

Actually, I think the brew might be quite benificial in these current times, with all the additives in food and chemicals in water (like flouride, a byproduct of aluminum) It flushes you out. And is proven to be much better for you than soda pop.

I spelled beneficial wrong.

Maybe I oughta save some of that beer. lol

The crop circles say there will be 5 of them.

Solar X-ray Flux are stable and very calm...

And NOAA / Space Weather Prediction Center said :

-Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low. There is also a chance for an isolated C-class flare from Region 1024.

-Geophysical Activity Forecast: Geomagnetic field activity is expected to be at quiet levels throughout the forecast period (06 - 08 July).
