Schools bar parents from sports day... to keep out paedophiles

www.dailymail.co.uk

Parents have been banned from attending their children's sports day in an extraordinary measure to protect pupils from child abductors and paedophiles.

More than 270 pupils from four primary schools took part in the event - but there were no spectators because the organisers said they could not prevent 'unsavoury' characters from sneaking onto school grounds for it.

Okay, they have lost it, what ever rational and logical thinking this school seemed to have has just gone out the window.

Has anyone asked the children why they even attended the meeting if they could not be cheered on by their family's or love ones. I mean, it does take a sick mind to think of sick (edit)like this. Perhaps the school board has hidden pedophiles that need to be watched. We watch the children, but who's watching the watchers that watch the children.

I smell something very strange with that school...!

Hahaha!! Ahhahahaha!

That's a funny one!!! Hehehehehe!!!

They're joking, right?

They can't be serious. Banning parents from watching their own children means that the terro- sorry, the paedophiles have already won!

Welcome in NEW WORLD ORDER where YOUR security is more important than anything else.

Helen Lovejoy's quote from The Simpsons, "Won't somebody think of the children!", has been taken too far!

Perhaps where this is all leading is to a system where parents will no longer raise their children past the age of 1. At their first birthday they will be taken by the government to be raised in federal facilities and indoctrinated in how to be 'good citizens' (whatever that may be).

Come to think of it, you know what's even scarier?

It's not the fact that these incompetent administrators made the decision to ban the parents. Fair enough, they're wankers...

The real scary part is that 270 sets of parents agreed not to attend!!! They agreed to abide by the decision - how gutless is that!

Try and tell me that I can't watch my own kid and see what response you'll get.

From time to time, people on ATS claim that the public won't stand for harsh laws, blah blah blah... yet here is a case of people rolling over and forsaking their own children so they didn't break a rule!!!

If that happened near where I live, you could probably expect nearly 200 arrests of parents who were forcibly removed for trying to watch their children.

I assume they have also banned the parents from picking up their children from school? After all, there may be some unsavoury characters hanging around outside the school gates. Perhaps they'll be arranging police escort / delivery services to take the children to and from the school. How about blacking out the school windows to prevent a perv with binoculars seeing in?

This is all really getting so freakin' ridiculous. The baseless paranoia generated by these bozos, often helped by sensationalist reporting, gives the parents the impression that there is a kiddie fiddler on every street corner and that parents too cannot be trusted. Yes, there are pervs around, unfortunately, but there always have been and probably always will be. There were when I was a kid, but we still went about our lives and didn't think about it or let it rule our lives like it seems to do these days.

We've already got 270 sets of parents who won't object to that. Some 'whinged' about it, but they still agreed to follow the rule.

I just wonder if there ever will be an event that forces people to wake up to what's going on - before it is too late?

Regardless of my profession, i can assure you that i would have not sent my child into that event and would most likely be making plans to permanently remove them from that ridiculous school. Lets face it, your child is in more danger from the teachers being pedophiles than any other random person.

Oh yes, and i agree with you here. These parents sat up like puppies and agreed to chew on the doggy biscuit like a good little puppy.

edit: The parents probably received a dvd of the event and were even f##king billed for the recording of the event. I mean lets face it, they act like morons why not make them pay like morons...!

Soon the British government will just take the kids from all parents and raise them in Government "schools" or "camps" to prevent...... unsavory characters ... from being around children..

All for the Children, of course.

(By the way, Britain, I think you're getting a wee bit carried away with Political Correctness and retarded cases like this)

I also think the school should be FORCED to publicly say who's parents they thought "Unsavory" ..

Reading fromthe article, I would not say all he parents are in agreement with this. Seems a little extreme for schools to exort this decision on parents. Just over health and safety. If any of those children are hurt during this sports day, I hope those parents banned, take that school to helland back.

PC Brigade/Nanny State UK going OTT.

I forone would be writing to the school in question, letting them know my child will notbe taken part in the sports event, If I as a parent cannot attend to watch. Sports day hs always been about Parents being able to attend and to watch thier kids enjoy themselves. Completely disgusting.

So what about the teachers. Are they banned too or what? Paedophiles tend to work in places where they have unlimited acces to children, so every teacher is a suspect I assume.
I agree, they have lost it.

Given the amount of horse shEt i have read about this school, i too could be considered unsavory on the grounds that i called my neighbors daughter "princess".

It's seriously beyond me how this even went on. If any of the u.k. guys could possibly provide some feedback as in, " Has there been a inquiry about this school ?" , is there any evidence suggesting something in the past had happened.

Lets face it, you do not wake up in the morning making laws like this unless you have something on fire and lets not forget, were there's smoke there's fire.

This is sad. I use to love field day as it was called when I was in school. It was fun to have your family there cheering you on. We had snow cones and you won tickets for prizes. Every year this went on from Elem to Middle School. I feel sorry for those kids. Its supposed to be a fun day with your friends and family.

Surprisingly enough i had posted several days ago about the Kindergarten that was caught up in the pedophile case. Like i said, your child is in more danger from the Teacher's rather than some random person on the street.

Unsavory characters are everywhere and the sooner children are taught this and taught to deal with it the better off in life they will be. We can't protect every child from everything and everyone all the time or we'll wind up with a bunch of social misfits who can't cope with life living in isolation bubbles. A case can probably be made that there are quite a few of these overprotected humans running around the planet already, and if this kind of trend continues there will soon be more.

Oh yeah, i remember athletics day very well. To be honest its were i met my best friends parents and to this day were still keep in touch.

Just crazy shEt going on in this world. But i do smell something far more devilish at hand with this school.

At a local primary school if you are dropping your child off and thay want to go to the toilet the parents are not allowed to take them, a member of staff has to do it, the reason is the parent hasn't been police checked but the member of staff has. What is going on, have we really lost the plot, when are we going to kick up a fuss and become the free people we once were ( or liked to believe we were)

Erm, Yeah , Erm , Right.

So let me get this straight, schools have prevented parents from watching their childrens sportsdays because a 'unsavoury' character or 'paedophile' 'MAY' be watching or hanging around the school .

What does a paedophile look like in these peoples minds? A scruffy gentleman with either a long mac on in the height of summer with a cople of puppies or a smartly dressed man who looks normal with a couple of puppies for the kids to play with?
These people need to have the heads knocked together to maybe get some commons sense, Beaurocratic idiots.

Yeah right. to the bods that have to justify their own jobs by coming up with stupid legislation like this here's a sensible tip.

Any 'unsavoury' characters that are seen to be hanging round a school try calling the police, or if it is a sportsday , simply ask the parent on the way in " what child are you here to see" , how many 'paedophiles' know a childs name at a particular school?
What are the chances of them actually knowing a child there?

I really DO NOT think a paedo will be hanging round by a school looking 'unsavoury' and arousing suspiscion do you?

How about having a police presence next time theres a sportsday or some other event , you could kill off 2 birds with the same stone, the police could guard the event and look for trouble AND give the kids a lesson in respecting a police officer.
