What are the rules to be allowed to post topics to the different categories of forums here? Do you have to be adopted?

You should be able to post to existing discussions (threads), but until you have over 20 posts, you will not be able to create new threads.

The easiest way to accomplish this is to find some topics or news items you are interested in and join the discussion
