Update 2:

The seller has revised the listing to include:

Note that the mid section of the second alert consists of 9 blank lines. This is the segment of the the message that should list violations of policy. At this time there were no violations. As stated, their reasoning was that an auction as atypical as this must be the result of a compromised account.

I swiftly contacted eBay customer support to advise them of the listing's validity. After 30-45 minutes of live customer support and telephone calls I was able to confirm that I was the account's owner and that I was in fact putting up the auction for Barack Obama's African birth certificate.

With eBay's permission I quickly posted my listing again for Barack's birth certificate. Long night.

I awoke this morning to a healthy looking eBay auction, nurtured by the more than 130 bids that had been placed within a span of just a few hours. The top bid was for more than $2200. Within the next hour the bidding had climbed to more than $5,500. I'm not sure how high bids actually went before eBay again canceled my listing.

This time their reasoning for the cancellation was that birth certificates and other forms are government ID are prohibited on eBay. Directly below I have copied and pasted this alert as well. This was in regard to eBay item # 160344928067.

I'm now auctioning my story (true story) of how I obtained US President Barack Obama's Kenyan birth certificate.

The outset of the story will begin with me entering Kenya earlier this spring 2009. The story will entail all events which have led up to the present day Ebay auction.

The winner of this auction will not bear copyrights to my story. However, along with my story the winning bidder will also take home US President Barack Hussein Obama's Kenyan (African) birth certificate. Certified birth certificate. I am giving the birth certificate to the bidder that wins this auction, which is for my story.

You are not bidding on Barack Obama's Kenyan birth certificate in this eBay auction.

Below is a copy of the my twice canceled eBay auction of President Barack Hussein Obama Kenyan Birth Certificate.

Happy bidding!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"This is auction is for a certified copy of President Barack Obama's Kenyan Birth Certificate.

President Barack Hussein Obama II was born in The Coast Provincial General Hospital at Mombasa in Kenya at 7:24 PM on August 4th 1961.

I've traveled throughout the Caribbean (including Cuba), Ibero America (i.e.,Latin America), and Africa. I have a Bachelors in Sociology, a Bachelors in Social Sciences as well as a Bachelors in Afro-Caribbean Studies. I'm a collector of old Dominican and Cuban money.

I've worked in the Democratic Republic of the Congo as an advisor in the government's Hydrology & Rain Water Management Administration.

This spring I traveled through Kenya and it's capital Nairobi. I was overwhelmed by the "iconicized" face of US President Barack Obama that displays itself throughout the country. I had lunch at a small eatery and noticed that the Club Sandwich with fried Plantains was now known as "Obama's Plate of the Day."

As an American I was bombarded with questions in english (english is national language of Kenya) on my feelings and opinions of a Kenyan governing the United States of America. The first several times I responded in saying that not enough time had elapsed since Barack Obama's appointment as President of the USA, and that I'd have to hold my official opinion until at least January 2010, a year in office might be sufficient for me to judge his ability to govern the USA.

Natuarally I thought that by "Kenyan" they were referring to Barack Obama's blood, being that his father Barack Obama Sr was a native of Kenya. After a day and a half of my being in Nairobi I learned that they were literally referring to President Barack Obama Jr as being born in Kenya, a native of Kenya. Now I started asking questions, did his father's Kenyan blood somehow entitle Barack Jr to the equivalent of a native Kenyan? No, not all, I was to find out. They were referring to Barack Obama Jr's physical birth on Kenyan soil.

Kenyans were amused at how gullible Americans could be when it came to obvious things like the fact that Kenyans overtly admit to Barack Jr's Kenyan birth, yet the Americans continue to believe that they know better.

I delved further and found that a birth certificate was on file at The Coast Provincial General Hospital at Mombasa.

I know several American expats that reside in Kenya. I asked the three that I could reach if they were aware of President Barack Obama's Kenyan birth. All three said that they were most obviously aware of his Kenyan birth. I was shocked. They went to further say that they weren't much concerned with it, after all they'd left the US to start a new life abroad and didn't have much interest in what was taking place in the States. Besides, they said, who would believe them anyway?

Along with my Congolese brother Andylenny (brother in heart, not blood) and a 1993 BMW with only one working door I was off to Mombasa to get myself a copy (certified I hoped) of Barack Jr's birth certificate.

AND THAT BIRTH CERTIFICATE IS WHAT YOU ARE BIDDING ON HERE IN THIS EBAY AUCTION, CERTIFIED BIRTH CERTIFICATE.

I am not posting any photos of the birth certificate here on Ebay. I have not seen this birth certificate anywhere on the internet, to post it here on Ebay would lead to a flood of facsimiles on the internet. This would inadvertently decrease the value of the certificate as well.

In further support of I offer the facts below:

A. Barack Obama (or anyone) has never released a copy of his "Hawaiian" birth certificate. No one has ever seen it. Only a copy of his Hawaiian "Registry of Birth" or Registration of Birth" has been released to the public. Hey, I have a registry of birth as well (along with my birth certificate). It's funny how a registry of birth is not valid as a form of identification. It can't be used to verify age or identity. Just try to use yours (yes, you have a registry of birth as well) at the DOT or DMV or even at the Social Security Administration if you ever lose your SS card and need a replacement. NO ONE WILL ACCEPT A REGISTRY OF BIRTH. Yet the President uses his to verify to all of America that he was born in the United States? And hey, you might say, "What's the deal you conspiracy freak! You're just looking for any reason discredit Barack Obama." Well then, if it's not a big deal at all, then why can't anyone produce Barack's birth certificate?

B. The Barack Obama Administration, in an attempt to put the birth certificate issue to a rest, has presented the American public with a FAKE, FORGED, FRAUDULENT Hawaiian Birth Certificate in response to a growing number of the American public that have been demanding proof that Barack was born in the US. Hey, what? You say you don't believe me? Just google it! Jay McKinnon, a Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fake Barack Obama Hawaiian birth certificate. JUST GOOGLE IT!

Message me with any questions that you might have regarding this auction for President Barack Hussein Obama Jr's Kenyan Birth Certificate (certified Birth Certificate). I reserve the right to not answer specific questions who's answers would no doubt be wallpapered across the internet by breakfast time. I will however reply to all questions. My replies may contain specific answers, and they may not. This will be at my discretion.

If the need arises I may be contacted via telephone. Contact me via Ebay message if you believe that your question or questions merit a phone call.

International bidders are welcome.

Domestic shipping is free, international will be a flat fee of $75.00. All shipping will be insured, and overnight via USPS, UPS, or FEDEX. You pick.

I ask the mods leave this long post up, because Ebay will likely pull this new listing, and the info will be lost!

Hello TrueAmerican,

Can you list those questions here?

I went to the listing and noticed now he is selling the 'story' about how he got the birth certificate instead of the actual item, and then the birth certificate is a bonus if you buy the story (pun intended)

Don't know, this all seems rather fabricated, and who is he again? how come people on kenya were 'bombarding' him with questions about Obama and he said it was too early for an "official" response from him? do people on kenya jump around Americans on the streets asking questions like that just because the are American? that kind of sounds funny, i think this is a scam or has a hidden agenda.

For the most part i don't care, but i still would like to know

I use to do a lot of collecting through Ebay and back then you had to be very careful what you bought. Chances are it's even worse now days. An autographed pic of a celebrity was usually a picture printed out on a computer with the autograph photo shopped in so technically it was an autographed pic and it was that person's sig. They just never actually laid a pen to the pic. And certificates of authenticity were a dime a dozen back them.

So I would be interested in seeing what a Kenya birth certificate actually looks like and is there some way to tell if it is a fake or not. Even then can you pay people off to get the real thing over there? Would be the first thing I would try if planning to sell something like this.

No, not yet. And for several reasons. I am trying to get to the bottom of this, and will post further updates as I learn more about it from him.

A little critical thinking goes a long way folks. Why in Gods name would somebody GIVE AWAY something as valuable as solid proof that the president is constitutionally ineligible for his office?

Clearly the reason that the story is for sale and the certificate is being given away is because the cert is bogus. The buyer will eventually learn this and demand a refund, only to be reminded that he didn't pay anything for the fake birth certificate- he paid for the story- which he will already have used extensively and probably gained some value from just by virtue of the media attention a buyer would likely seek and receive.

I'll sell you the same thing out of the back of my truck if Ebay won't let the item stay up. I'm also giving away some of Sarah Palin's unmentionables if you buy the BS story on how I supposedly obtained them.

Umm, if he had tried to sell the story first, with the attached BC as the prize, then I would agree with you. But that's not what happened. He tried to sell the BC first, and got shut down by Ebay on the claim that they don't allow Govn't docs. And along with my email, he said his mailbox was "expanding by the minute," obviously from people all over who wanted to know the story of how he got it. So his move was pretty logical really. If Ebay won't allow the real thing on a technicality, then sell the story and include the document.

But not that I am falling for this either way, mind you. And I can also tell you that he is being extremely cautious, and not saying jack, other than what he has already said in the ads. And I can't say I blame him there, as that is an ad that could literally cost him his life if he does have the real thing- which like all prudent skeptics, I highly doubt.

he is clearly and obviously "selling" the story and "giving" away the certificate because ebay does not allow the sale of birth certificates. it is his way around that policy...

I thought this was plainly obvious to igure out.

the guy is brilliant if you ask me.

I want to bid on it. i am willing to bid up to $50k maybe more...for the fun of it.

Granted your explanation has the advantage of being simpler and thus more likely, but a conman could just as easily anticipate such a rule and use it to pull a bait and switch.

Brilliant would be to just give the cert back to Obama "out of the goodness of your heart" then sell him a box of matches for a few million bucks along with it.

Then turn around and sell the ashes and the story of how you got them on ebay.

Update:

Latest "STORY" listing also canned by Ebay:

This listing (160345002984) has been removed or is no longer available. Please make sure you entered the right item number.
If the listing was removed by eBay, consider it canceled. Note: Listings that have ended more than 90 days ago will no longer appear on eBay.

Now this is curious... Why can't someone sell a story? Books, mags, all kinds of similar things are routinely sold on Ebay...

E-bay probably called it an 'obvious attempt to circumvent the rules.'

Kinda like we have with the censor here at ATS.

I hope somebody buys it and it turns out to be the fake it is. You have people that pray on the weak, strong, over and under weight, tall and short. Now they are praying on the tested and true gullible instinct of man.

I'm not that privy as to how ebay works but if you bid "50k" and no one out bids you, aren't you responsible for paying up?

You would think the Republican Party could come up with a few million in a few minutes.

Real or fake?

One thing you can always count on - good old-fashioned greed.

A handsome profit will open many doors that are normally closed. Look at how our Congress is selling off the US.

May be, or not.

If this cat is still alive.

This is disgusting the people who have the money to waste on this thing(but probably complain about the economy), even as a person who the current economy isn't effecting I think it's disgusting to pay so much money better yet ANYTHING for this thing.
Go out and buy a homeless person a meal, go buy a struggling family clothing and food for their children.
Do something productive with your money instead giving it to criminals like this guy.
Now wonder the economy is in the state that it is in.
Fools, fools, And more fools.

$1 million buy it now?

I like how he doesn't even show a photograph of the thing. Anyone gullible enough to bid on this has my nomination for this year's Darwin Awards.

On a related note, I find it pretty hilarious that WorldNetDaily is continuing to report on Obama's birth certificate, after their own 'forgery experts' have confirmed that his Hawaii certificate is real.

A separate WND investigation into Obama's birth certificate utilizing forgery experts also found the document to be authentic. The investigation also revealed methods used by some of the bloggers to determine the document was fake involved forgeries, in that a few bloggers added text and images to the certificate scan that weren't originally there.

Money to waste?

What do you think Obama/Pelosi/Reid are all about?

If it were real, if it cost two billion dollars - and negate his Presidency, and thus nullify under law everything he's done to date - this would be a most cost effective purchase!

Spend a dollar to save a thousand?

Good money, well spent!

Heh, anyone remember the secret to happiness that sold for one million dollars on Ebay?

Ebay allows bogus sales, it just asks that they fall between either painstakingly obvious, or pretty dang good.

That's an interesting point, but you are forgetting something.

If Obama were to somehow lose the presidency, Biden is next in line. Do you think we'd be better off with him? My bet is he would just do more of the same: spending/taxes/corporatism.

And if for whatever reason Biden couldn't be it (illegal ticket, so forth), then we're stuck with Pelosi... god help us.
