‘‘EVERYBODY BECOME ENLIGHTENED TURNING TOWARDS THE HIDDEN PLACE OF REVELATION. THAT’S IT’, or
‘EVERYBODY BECOME ENLIGHTENED TURNING TO THE HIDDEN GOD. PERIOD, or
‘EVERYBODY BECOME ENLIGHTENED TURNING TOWARDS THE OCCULT. THAT’S ALL’

That was interesting. Because I remember in the police reports they said they thought that they were ritualistic killings due to the hood that the zodiac wore with one of the murders. That is interesting, I think they may have something!

What additionally supports our points is that the Zodiac Killer spelled the word ‘Christmas’ as ‘Christ Mass’ in his letters. This already suggested a religious orientation and would be very consistent with our point 1. above. Additionally, the Zodiac’s apparent concept of being ‘reborn’ and having an ‘afterlife’ strongly points into a religious direction. EBEORIETEMETHHPITI has been written directly after the word “AFTERLIFE” in the text of the cipher.

SOURCE

Also the Zodiac mentioned over and over how he would have slave sin the after life. So I can agree with their conclusion!

I think there was another part to his message that he either didn't finish, never sent, was never received, or was never released. Looks more like the last 18 letters were part of something else he was writing. Maybe he made a couple of mistakes (maybe purposely) and the last 18 letters say, before i meet the pit i .....

Why would he write everything in plain english then at the very end use a latin word and acronyms ?

Does anyone know why they were able to decode three of them, but not the big one ?

Edit for spelling

Well he was the Zodiac killer..lol.. an odd ball. But I am not sure why they were able to solve the three smalls ones but not the big one. I couldn't find anything. That is an excellent question!

This is true, serial killers usually don't change things like that though. If he did indeed change to using latin and acronyms, that leads me to believe that there is indeed a missing piece. I'd like to know why the large one wasn't solved, is the symbolism that different than in the others, looks the same to me.

One part of his message makes me think he was younger than they thought he was. His statement that it was better than getting his rocks off with a girl, sounds like something a young guy would say, not an older man.

I'm intrigued by this now and as soon as i have time i'm gonna have to sit down and attempt to figure this out myself.

Awesome, if you need a better feeling of who he was be sure to check out the thread that is listed in the OP, I did my best to make it. Jokei so far this thread is getting attention! Congrats to you

I agree that he was probably younger than what the police thought. I have yet to begin actually focusing and looking. But I will tonight. I am going to watch the movie again and get some motivation. Its 2 hours and 40 minutes and its worth all that time..lol..

well im sure the big one as "solved" in the sense that they were able to substitute the symbols for letters, but when i was doing that i wasnt getting anything coherent. so im sure they figured that was wrong or something. i havent found anywhere with the letters substituted in already.

i tried printing it to make the substituting easier but my printer gave me the middle finger.

my guess is big one was done to confuse everyone, completely made out of latin, sanskrit, and acronyms, or he changed how youre supposed to solve it.

I haven't really looked at the big one yet, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if he purposely tried to confuse people with that one. Or maybe he was in a manic episode when he made that one.

she does seem pretty crazy, but how much of a twist would it be if it was true? i mean, think about it, what if your father was a mass murderer who dragged you to his murders?

theres most likely nothing to her claims but hey, it made be a break in the case.

either way i wish the FBI would hurry up and clear up that and dennis k.'s stuff. a definite answer, positive or negative, for either would be SO helpful.

if you want all of Myth's case reviews check out his sig.

Graysmith's solution to the 340 cipher (get ready to read a really messed up and almost nonsensical message)

HERB CAEN I GIVE THEM
HELL TOO BLAST THESE
LIES SLEUTH SHEOLH
SEE A NAME BELOW KILL-
LEERS FILM A PILLS GA-
ME PARDON ME AGCEPT T-
O BLAST NE BULLSHIE
THESE FOOLS SHALL ME-
ET KILLER PLEAS ASK
LUNBLAD SOLE AT P'___'
UL CLEAR IT LAKE IT SO

AH PHANE LAKE B ALLL
SLAVES BECAUSE DEAL
WILLL STOLEN EITHE-
R LATE TEA SPALL I HE-
LL SLASH TOSCHI THE
PIG M STALLS A O DEAL
C EIGHTH SOLE M SLAIN

thats what you get when you solve using his method. the message that he proclaimed to be in the big cipher made a little bit more sense but that involved changing some letters around.

Yea, I saw that. That is very odd and actually it shows more of a disturbed person that none-sense. Now if you remove some words and then replace them with other words and letters you actually can get a coherent message...sort of..lol

a lot of people dont agree with it. i dont either.mostly because theres some deciphering of what the letters actually are, then anagramming. its way too subjective for me. he basically made things that seemed like words then threw the extra letters in wherever possible and let it be considered a misspelling or something

i was thinking of taking his "answer" that was unanagrammed and find my own BS words in it.

i think people are looking at the arbitrary words the have been discovered and are going "Zodiac was a GENIUS! look at all these obscure references. Who would have guessed that he would start talking like a '30s gangster!" when in reality what they are looking at is just a desperate grasping at straws.
