Electric cars were tried as early as 1890. It was never practical. inventors.about.com...

Tesla has a design for a sedan. It's gorgeous, and $50K.

Obama is raising the price of electricity as a tool for social economic engineering. He's using cap and trade and requirements of retrofitting plants with carbon dioxide scrubbers to raise the cost of making electricity. www.abovetopsecret.com...

How about we just drill for our own oil and build more refineries, coal plants and nuclear plants so I don't have to buy one of those little disposable, snap-together, death traps roller skates of a car.

Give me something with power and style like the new 2010 Camaro with the 426HP V8 engine:

Electric cars are more efficient even if we throw a gas powered generator under the hood to power the batteries.

The idea that we need more electricity is flawed. Electric cars will give people more incentive to get off the grid because people will buy solar powered generators to recharge them & perhaps even integrate them in the car eventually so they will charge themselves without even plugging in.

And what is going to provide all of that electricity to power these new electric vehicles? Coal plants! YAY!

But those big dirty power plants would be producing the energy anyway,
And in the grand scheme itd be better to have power plants that would be there anyway powering a vehicle that would produce minimal emissions itself, Compared to Power plants still there AND cars pumping out heavily toxic pollution aswell
