Gravy, the alleged tour guide

(Please keep this thread civil and without one liners.)

That Mark "Gravy" Roberts guy claims to be a NYC Tour Guide and I've seen him and other skeptics love to bring up his title when debating truthers who are engineers, scholars, etc as a way to mock those truthers he's debating with; "the debate between an engineer and a tour guide."

But does he really make a living as an NYC tour guide? Or does he just have an NYC tour guide license so he can flash it around and pretend he is one?

Why don't skeptics start by posting Gravy's tour guide website, so I can sign up to go on one of his tours?

Don't tell me he's been deceitful about his profession all this time.

although I admit that a persons integrity should be a factor in any dispute over certain "facts"..
I don't see the relevance in this instance.. he is not claiming to be a structural engineer or a physics professor.. he freely admits that his job is inconsequential to his research.. it did however locate him in the vicinity of the attacks..
I have found his papers to be very informative..
but whether or not he was a tour guide, or worked at Seinfelds "soup nazi" kitchen shouldn't matter..

It matters because he and some of his fellow skeptics uses his alleged profession as a way to make fun of truthers by saying a simple NYC tour guide is debunking all these 9/11 conspiracy theorists. Ridicule is these kinds of skeptic's main tactic of debate.

Mark Roberts is making the claim he's a legit tour guide, so I'm just testing his integrity by seeing if his claimed profession is true. If he's been lying that he's a legit tour guide, then I think even you would agree that would be a blow to his integrity. Then the question would become, what has his real profession been?

Ok, I think I see what your getting at..
if it came out that he actually has a more "sophisticated" background than he claims, it would certainly hurt his credibility.. but his work stands on its own, as should all research..
I don't agree that the skeptics "main" tactic of debate is ridicule.. it flows hard and fast from both sides..
but if what you suspect is true.. then I would not be impressed..

yes it should be known.. the sensitivity of this subject demands credibility..

using words like "always" in this case in intellectually dishonest.. there are a few fringe elements of the "truth movement" that tend to blame the "jewish interests" (if you will..) for every ailment the world faces.. these folks deserve the reactions they get..
but that hardly encompasses all truthers.

As about as much evidence he makes a living as a NYC tour guide!

But logically, a guy that spends all his time combating 9/11 conspiracies and tells people he's just a tour guide even though he obviously has the intelligence to far exceed being a tour guide would be a prime candidate in being a spook.

He's spent a mass amount of time and effort defending the government's official story. If he turns out to have been LYING all this time that he's been making a living as a NYC tour guide, wouldn't that be one logical guess?

I wouldn't be impressed with Mr Roberts deception.. and would certainly wonder about his motives..

What do you think they could logically be if it turns out he has been deceiving people about his profession?


Also, I feel like taking a tour in NYC. Where can I go to sign up for one of Mr. Roberts tours?

Perhaps a national survey for tourists who have been lost for days with the stupid NY Tour Guide would suffice? Surely some of them would have photographed the idiot who had them going in circles.

Could you please show me what evidence you have for him being "stupid"? It seems a little off topic but I guess you don't have any evidence that he is not a tour guide either?
