So we've had.

Water
Air
Fire

Next I assume will be Earth

Then Heart... so we can call forth CAPTAIN PLANET! (To defeat global warming

Seriously though, it does seem to be following the theme of the Elements. Very cool stuff.

Why can't everyone accept that fact that we don't know what created crop circles. Really, we do not know! So many people constantly claiming that crop circles are certainly made by humans, but you don't know this, you have never seen it happen, so YOU DO NOT KNOW. Seeing is believing, but just to assume that they are all made by humans might seem like the best solution initially, further investigation in to crop circles through-out history and even in todays age suggest that this is just not the case. I do not know that they aren't made by humans, but you cannot know that they are.

Has anyone thought that maybe it’s not a Phoenix and maybe it’s an Eagle symbolizing America?

The Flames symbolizing a strike against America?

Just a thought..
What do you think?

There's lots of so called proof that these are wo/man made but have you read some of the testimonies from these human made circles?

www.circlemakers.org - Shredded Wheat logo

Circlemakers were asked to create a crop circle in the shape of the Shredded Wheat logo. No mean feat, as text has to be one of the most tricky elements to render accurately in crop. But armed with copious amounts of diagrams - eighteen in total - and a very early start 4 circlemakers were able to craft the standing Shredded Wheat logo inside a flattened heart shape in a back breaking 14 hours in a wheat field in Puckeridge, Hertfordshire....

lug.oregonstate.edu - FireFox symbol

Planned in under two weeks and completed in under 24 hours, the crop circle had a final diameter of 220 feet. We constructed the circle in an oat field near Amity, Oregon, where it was completely invisible from the road but unmistakable from the sky. Our team consisted of 12 people, mainly OSU students, and we carefully stomped down oats from 3:30pm Friday afternoon until 2:30am, putting on the finishing touches between 7:30am and 11:00am Saturday, August 12...

My point being is that these people made crop circles that took a lot of time and a lot of planning and plus, I'm assuming, a lot of expense. Would they have risked trespassing charges without some recognition later? And how could they have not been caught doing this? I read somewhere today, one of the many news articles, that it's believed that todays crop circle field was under camera surveillance. If this was true and the creation of it wasn't detected then how could a team of 10 to 20 people go undetected for 10 to 20 hours? Could it have been created in total darkeness (except moonlight) and in total silence?

These crop circles are truly a modern day mystery and that defies everyday logic.

What about the possibility that crop circles are actually formed as a result of space borne weapons testing ? What better way to test and calibrate some kind of exotic beam weapon than by attempting to create intricate and localized images on the ground where they can see the immediate effects of the weapon ? Note that every one of the "crop circles" can be viewed telescopically from earth orbit.

If you guys seriously think these crop circles are manmade.. You have to be joking..

Man is the biggest stuff up of all time, If Man made? These circles, there would be a great mess and a lot of empty beer cans left behind..

Where ever mangoes, there is a lot of rubbish left behind it would be the easiest thing to tell if they are manmade..

The Governments know what is making them, they have an eye in the sky..

what if the farmer gave them permission? Has anybody eaten bread made from the wheat grown in crop circles? What if that is the idea behind making the circles in food crops that eating the food gives the consumer some kind of insight

I know that is way out but I'm grasping at straws. Get it? I just had a beer and am feeling giddy. What about beer made from crop circle barley or hops. I bet the farmer could get $20 a pint.

I can certainly see the farmer giving permission. With farmers barely making it these days, I'm sure that having a crop circle appear in your field and then charging to look at it (or for parking) would more than make up the price of the crop damage.
They are most likely profiting from this. This also explains why people don't see them. The farmer would be helping to keep the secret not going out of the way to 'debunk' his own moneymaker.

Well, all things considered, where crop circles are "Introduced" into crop fields, there is typically no damage, and the harvesting tractors can pick up the wheat ust as easily from a lying down position as it can from an upright position.

No damage really.

@zetabeam

Excellent point, I too have thought of some crop circles being a form of calibration for a HAARP like satellite or ionosphere based energy weapon.

THAT, or maybe the operators of these "Space Weapons" are REALLY bored, and decided to doodle in the crops.

The EM signatures and microwave damage to the crop stalks would seem to indicate the presence of focused radiation / electro plasma effects.

Whether this is a man made or Extraterrestrial / Extra dimensional effect is up to debate.

I believe that the majority of crop circles are authentic (non man made) with some pranks, and some "Calibrations" thrown in for good measure (and plausible deniability)

If you read up on HAARP and Nikolai Tesla, you will see the paralells to his "Death Ray" - HAARP - and the energy residuals from the crop circles.

Just looking around the net on pheonix info and found something interesting...

"The 'calendar in stone' of the Great Pyramid, describes the so-called Phoenix Cycle of our galactic orbit, the present time period ends (converted to our present calendar) in the year 2012 AD. The Greek word Phoenix, derived from the Egyptian word, Pa-Hanok, actually means, The House of Enoch."

In the Jellyfish crop circle thread, I made the point that the owners certainly weren't making money out of it, you can read about it HERE. Not only were the farmers angry, they are urging visitors to stay away. Not the kind of invitingly warm attitude if you're looking to make a quick fiver out of inquisitive passerbys.

If this is somehow a viral campaign, it's rather obscure and not targetting a particular product or film that I can think of, especially something that Joe Public would want to see / buy. Unless the idea is to 'hit' the area with a series of random drawings and finally the 'money shot', which will inevitably be a logo of some sort. But how are they doing it?

I think it's time we had some intrepid observers who live in the area, to start camping out at nights with their video cameras, holding all-night vigils and catch them in the act - whoever they may be. This is happening all-too regularly for someone to not monitor the goings-on. It's a golden opportunity and nobody seems to be keen enough to go out and find out what is happening. Even the farmers, the Spences for example, should be installing some CCTV cameras.. surely they must be the slightest bit curious if they are not a willing party in the act.

It's the inaction I am most surprised with. All these crop circles, seemingly popping up on a daily basis, and nobody in the area can be bothered to camp out with their video cameras and catch these things once and for all!

Is it not illegal to destroy someone's property?? Why are these guys advertising their illegal activities? Better yet, why have they not been arrested?

That would depend...

If the crops have already been harvested and just the stalks are left, then flattening the stalks which will be plowed under is hardly damaging property

If the crops are not harvested, then the income loss to the farmer would be a major concern and soon the farmer would be out there with the shotguns at night (can you own shotguns in the UK these days?)

So first find out if produce is damaged. I may be wrong but I think most crop circles are created after the harvest, but that would be a key factor

EDIT to add..

Oops just saw that Edrick answered that two posts up

You'd be suprised what a determined truely gifted man can create is whatever field (no pun intended) he has chosen.

Julian Beever, amazing sidewalk Chalk Artist, his stuff will blow your mind if you think most crop circles are good, here's one I just picked real pic out of his huge gallery, look him up on you tube, it's funny how some of the drawings look when not viewed from the usually small area(perspective, they make any sense from,) Check out his gallery on this webage too

Coke Bottle Amazing!

Or portait paintings that look so good nowadays you cannot tell them from a picture.

Take Evan Shoman for instance, he's an amazing artist and a big MMA fan so most of his portraits are of MMA fighters but not all. this one especially blew my mind.

Michelle Pfeiffer Portrait

Just look at the hair, it's insane imo, check out his gallery, he tells you how he makes such realistic pictures, what materials he uses ect.

Bit for some reason, crop circles which is more geometry and mathat, and stomping weeds that art, people jump to say "There's no way a Human Being" could create that.

I'd say there's no way a human being with a little training couldn't create that. Some are really good, I'll give them that, but still can be done by man.

But this Pheonix one is a poor choice to say man couldn't create that, as for it's extremly sloppy, has many errors, and and isn't even all that pleasent to look at imo.

You cant state that as a fact. You obviously did little research on the phenomenon. How do humans mutate the plant life, magnetize the soil, leave bits of iron ore, show radioactive readings and how do they do this without breaking a single stalk! (speaking of the unexplained ones)

I'm really trying to understand why people keep coming into threads just to call those that believe something they don't stupid (or the equivalent thereof) and mock and ridicule them.

don't you have better things to do than try to bring people down?

to stay on topic yes i do.
and no i dont lol

See to people who believe in ufo's..is ok..it's possible.

these crop circle's are a way to poke fun and make a mockery of all thing's extraterrestrial...

and to even consider or to think HEY ALIENS made a jellyfish in my field.!!
and a phoenix...its to well done to be man made.
is a mockery to the ufo community you ask me.

they are man made ever single one of them.
Every one can and has been made by man lol

England is a funny place! I grew up there, in an area surrounded by pictograms in the chalk only visible from the sky and there are many all over england, we also have the pictograms in south america, the nascar plain etc, it would seem to me that most of these crop circles are way too complicated to be done in the dark, have any of you tried navigating in a wheat field in the dark? just to cross it, i have, kinda sketchy to say the least. To create an elaborate symbol that is geometrically perfect in the dark , in MHO very doubtful, the ET's are already here, have been for a while, perhaps they are trying or intending to send us , humanity a message, our history is bogus to put it mildly, any transcripts of importance from the past are locked up, the dead sea scrolls etc..the "they" do not wish to panic anyone, yet they are already preparing or prepared, so be it..cheers all.

the man made ones can easily be identified as such, the way the plants are flattened, the mysterious ones are where the plants stems are exploded or expanded by heat, and there is a magnetic field stronger in parts of the formation.soil has beads in it as if heat from microwaves was used, only in the formation.when i say man made i mean by stomping around on the ground, not to say man isn't using some type of beam from space as mentioned in an other post.
