I have seen a strange green glow some nights coming from the direction of Yuma. I always figured that was airborne laser testing. It almost looks like a transformer exploding, but more green.

Yes, my Family and I saw this bright light too, and although some people where saying it's a weather balloon-it was odd. It stayed in one spot for a while and then gone in a matter of seconds.
It actually looked like it's color changed slightly... We live close to the Grand Canyon (West) area... So It was not ONLY seen in Phoenix area.

www.heavens-above.com is a good site as well. You can enter any coordinate on the planet, the date and time you wish to observe and get a full sky display. I enjoy using it for backyard astronomy, and to sat passes as well.

The balloons, which start out measuring about 6 ft. wide before release, expand as they rise to about 20 ft. in diameter!

I still very much doubt that was a balloon. I mean the luminosity and size alone just don't corellate - at least in my observation - to what I would expect.

That is a typical weather balloon, certainly not as imposing on the sky as what this object is and certainly not going to just vanish.

I may well be entirely wrong, but I don't believe what the official story is, OR that there was indeed 2 things going on here...

Always got to love the mass audience of witnesses during one of these UFO events. I just hope there are some people out there with some clear images of video and/or photography. Now that would be some sweet stuff, especially since this was during the day and not at night.

Did you post in haste before reading at least the first page?

Video, images, HAVE been posted.

Don't tell me you did a badw0lf and jumped the gun in posting

That's my trick... Coh..

As several witnesses likened it with an incredibly bright Star, I think the topic of the following thread is worth to be added to the discussion: www.abovetopsecret.com...

Also; scroll down on the following page, and look through the pictures: www.share-international.org...

That is a UFO or "star sign" heralding the emergence of a new world savior. Only his name comes out to 666 in many languages. Meaning that the Nephilim are coming back to the planet. Only they are not aliens but rather the offspring of the sons of God (the fallen ones) and human women.

If they have a 6 foot diameter and this thing was said to be at 41,000 Ft I believe? At that altitude gasses expand a little under 9x the original size so at max it would have been a little under 54 feet in diameter although the material they use may be pretty strong and able to restrict the expansion to be even smaller.

Either way I'm thinking that it

A. Was made of some type of mirror/chrome like material causing a huge reflection to occur which would make sense as you don't want some 747 running into it because of not seeing it and an error in the flight path.

B. It wasn't a balloon.

C. The got the height wrong and it was actually 14,000 ft not 41,000.

I saw this same object in the sky last night at the phoenix airport. I late for a plane and was hurrying down the crowded hallway and happened to glance out the window. I saw a very bright diamondish object moving very slowly. I managed to capture some video of it and I will upload it asap. I also saw an airforce jet take off from the airport and didn't know if that had anything to do with the sighting.

The height mentioned does seem a bit of a problem,
on the video you can see the jets contrail which is not very bright
while it is reflecting the sun,and although it could be an optical illusion
the object seems much lower.
In any case the chopper and the biplane are not going to cut much ice
with something that is supposed to be at 41000 feet,
and Arizona said that they were circling the area of the object.
Another alternative is that it was a balloon in trouble and was
terminated.

All I have to say is this is the kind of team work and networking I like.

You all did an excellent job, pictures/ making calls to others for them to look out. three thumbs up

I have seen something similar to what is described in this case, about three times before. Although I live far far away from Phoenix ;-) -- I believe its some astronomical phenomena. I too have rarely if ever seen something that bright. It could be Venus, but it seems to pop up just around sunset, no movement, then about an hour later or shortly thereafter it disappears.

Since there is no movement or any type of aerial maneuvering I surmise that its not a ufo, as it does not even fit part of the definition; which is 'flying'. However till now it seems to remain unidentified, but its not a craft or any balloon in my opinion.

Best regards,

I did see the white object in the sky yesterday around 5:30....I ran home got my binoculars and noticed that unfortunately it was a weather balloon. However, Later in the evening I also saw a VERY bright object in a different part of the sky that could not have have been the same weather balloon (way to bright)...for some reason I though it was a planet--but it was too bright to be one and too early in the evening....Does anyone know if if was on the news???

I had to join and post to explain to those who didn't see this is person. The pictures posted DO NOT do justice as to just how large and bright this object was. I left work in Chandler around 7:15pm, and drove north to central Phoenix where I live. About half way home I noticed this object and was fixated on it, as I have NEVER seen anything so large and bright in the sky and was simply amazed.
If anyone remembers a couple months ago, the planet Venus was by far the brightest object in the sky, and this was at least 5 times larger and brighter. I drive by the airport on the way home, and the object was larger than jumbo jets that were about 5 miles away. If anyone actually believes it's a weather baloon, then I really feel sorry for how ignorant they are.

S&F, seriously I really love ATS beause: 1) They have serious news also like a normal website ....

.... 2) rather then only conspiration theories that i like too.

3) And lastly because new news and events - mainly the massmedia part - are posted here faster and with a huge time advance than in my littly-small
country in heart of europe.

I thougth I was absoloutley crazy, but think "the one" that you actually saw EXACTLY what I saw in the North Western sky....

It was an absoloute BRILLIANTLY bright for a fu*snip*iing star let me tell you.

This light did not move it just chilled there looking at us taunting us with its brilliance.

Absoloutley most magnificent thing considering it was there at SEVEN FUC*SNIP*ING O' CLOCK.

It will be there again, because it was not an airplane and it is existant, absoloutley mind blowing considering I study astronomy. This is not in any records at all as a star in any coordinates
