Nick Griffin does not deny the Holocaust and he has unequivocally condemned it. More media sensationalism to influence and scare people against voting BNP.

May i also add that the other BNP MEP designate is a former university lecturer and not a "thug" as someone insinuated earlier.

Whatever your opinion on the BNP, they were democratically elected with over 120,000 votes just in the north-west of England alone. This is a wake up call to the main parties, either start addressing the problems of immigration or people with cast their ballot for BNP.

How predictable.
BNP labelled neo-fascists and Nazi's.

The vast majority of people who voted BNP did so as a protest vote as they are fed up of the corrupt, self-serving career politicians who dominate the major political parties.
They are fed up of politicians whose primary concerns are personal advancement and blind obedience to party lines above the interests of their own constituents.
They are fed up of politicians willfully ignoring their cares and concerns over immigration, the PC Brigade and continued EU membership.

The one thing this guarantees is that the BNP will ensure that open and honest debate over these issues will now take place.
It is imperative that this happens and that the people' concerns on these issues are addressed.

This is a shame. The person who is elected says that blacks and others are inferior to the whites. The BNP says that they are survivalists, not racist.

He says that the execution of Jews was propoganda, which is false. The win in Yorkshire is indeed sad and uncomfortable for UK. It is an embarrasment for Britan and European Parliment

boo hoo- blame the liberal/left elite who have spat on Britain- it's culture, people and tradition for 40 odd years.

I'm more embarrassed by the fact that new labour/new tory receive such large numbers of votes

Recently ministers have resigned from the UK govt over the expenses scandal. The people want someone who can transcend party lines and make Britan what it once was

Party politics has failed us miserably.
We need more people's politicians who vote with their conscience and with their constituents best interests at heart rather than current crop of career politicians who follow party line regardless.

The record low turnout suggests even greater apathy and disgust at the major political parties.

We need radical reform of the current electoral and parliamentary processes and procedures.

no they don't, they want clear and CONCISE party differences, not the current NEW LABOUR/NEW TORY/NEW LIB DEM malaise, which is part of the problem.

We need defined party differences on the right and left

Fewer people voted BNP at these elections than at the last Euro election. Not much of a comfort but there you go.

Fewer people voted period!

I know plenty of people who chose not to vote simply because they genuinely believe that no matter who they vote for none of the parties have their interests at heart and that politicians just do what they want thus rendering their vote pointless.

I find it staggering that the BNP vote rose in the face of an unprecedented cross party/media assault on them leading up the election- even the so called "right wing" Daily Mail was at the forefront of it

Exactly.
Old school Oxbridge dominates Labour, Conservative, Lib-Dems and UKIP.
BNP has no connections with these Establishment types who have ran this country for centuries, as a result the Establishment does whatever it can to discredit BNP as it fears it's potential.
A vote for any of the other is a vote for a continuation for the self same system and people who have got us into this mess in the first place.

What the BNP will come down hard on is Immigration! It's out of control here in the UK. When i walk down the street am hearing so many different accents and seeing so many different Nationalities. I don't like that, and i have the right not to like that! Many people would see that as being ''Racist'', am not, i dont have a problem with other Nationalities or Races. I just don't like the idea of Mass Immigration in my country or any country.

Am sure am not the only one on ATS that feels this way about the UK!

I disagree on this. The people who come to UK work there and pay taxes (not illegal immigrants). They contribute to the economy. If I am allowed to write this - You are white and you want white people in UK. If a Spanish or Canadian guy were walking on the street, would you like it because of their accent or you dont like non-white people walking the street?

that is a completely debatable point- so many issues, the black market economy, sending money home to their HOME nations, the absoloute drain on public/local authority funds in terms of education, cohesion, welfare, policing etc.

You could also factor in the prison costs-about 15% of prisoners are foreign nationals (that doesnt even include "recent" immigrants who are now citizens)

Yeah, people from other countrys do come here, work hard, pay taxes and contribute to the economy and they are here legally! I dont have a problem with that. Its when masses of immigrants are aloud to swamp over here, i don't like that.

I don't have a problem with other Countrys, Races ect. I just dont like my country being Diluted with other Nationalities, thats all. Thats what the BNP want to Stamp out...Mass Immigration!

The govt has done that. It has limited the number of immigrants that can come to UK legally. For instance the HSMP program now requires that people have Master's degree if they want to immigrate to UK.

Many areas of London have populations that are not "white UK people"
, I lived in a area like this myself.

I can agree with this to a point, we are far too easy on our borders, too many immigrants get into the country.

Like you said, people that add something to the country is fine, but those that come here and live off of our taxes etc is not.

I think we should have laws such as Australia or the USA, no degree or job to offer the country, then NO.
