Agreed. I'm frankly dissapointed that this was brought here to ATS at all - unless the intention was comic relief. OP should have points deducted.

Is that a joke? You have been here all of 5 minutes and you are passing point judgements? I brought this here because it was supposed to have been streamed live and given that indication many things appeared odd for a live video if it was fake.
However some members have shown how a recorded video can be submitted as live and streaming in which case the mystery was solved.
Meanwhile.. your first impression as a new member comes across as very rude. Perhaps in time you will understand we discuss things with respect here, whether we agree or not and those who are unnecessarily rude are usually the ones that get points removed.

Having said that.. hopefully in time you will be more civil until then welcome to ATS.

It had to be recorded live blah blah blah......Um no it did not it could of been recorded then played many ways like um...#1 play it back from the cam the server wont know if its live or not. And im sorry but i seen better big foot films .

Easy. You pre-record it on your camera, edit it on your PC, and stream that as if it were live.

All recorded vids on this site come from live feeds that happened at a previous time. It is not possible to upload to this site. it is stream live and save or don't save. It does not host pre-recorded videos.. only those that streamed live there.

That does not preclude the ability to stream from your own PC to their servers, prerecorded content.

Seriously....

It's all the same stuff once it's sent. Data. You don't have to send LIVE footage. You can setup any sort of server to connect to their servers are a live setup, and send them cartoons for all it matters.

LOL you guys need to read the rest of the thread before posting.. its only 3 pages.. we actually figured that out along the way.. if you had read the thread you would see we worked that out.

The thing about a live feed is that it might be recorded onto the net live, but that "live" feed might come from a pre-recorded source.

I.e, you could record a live feed from the cinema which has a film showing except this film is connected into the back of the camera to produce a seemingly live feed of an edited video.

Its not rocket science!

The premise that the stream must be a live video feed is false, I have seen many /b/tards with .gif macros on there.

Does ANYONE else notice it says PRE-RECORDED in the top right hand side of the screen...Big letters...And why sit completely still with all of the "wooo wooo woooo" ufo noises. I honestly can't believe anyone would fall for this.

I just read over the thread again...not ONE person here saw it said Pre-Recorded??? REALLY???? This entire time, a discussion of how you can fake a live stream, etc...and right in front of everyone's face was the words pre-recorded to begin with....am I losing it or is there something I just am not aware?? I'm not being sarcastic, is there something I just don't know??.... Because as soon as you watch the video it's a "case closed" as for whether it was "live" or not when the words pre-recorded are right under your nose

It seems kinda funny that he was supposed to be getting up to get starcharts and walks "streight at the window" and IMMEADIATLY saw an alien... That seems like it was staged and he knew exactly where to point the camera at that givin time... Not to mention, I find it a bit odd that these, so called, "UFO Guys" are setting a goal to see UFO's or aliens that night on camera and HOLY CRAP..... THERE IS AN ALIEN AND NOW I'M OBDUCTED... That sounds like a cheesey 70's horror flick...

Fake Fake Fake. i mean i believe people have been abducted but not this guy everything feel into place to perfect & as far as him being lifted off the couch i think it was done in reverse motion because when he's lifted off the couch you can see an impact on the couch.

Just because you don't know how to do it doesn't mean it's impossible to trick the site into receiving a pre-recorded movie. Depending on the operating system it can be very easy. All you have to do is convince the site that the file it's reading the video from is instead coming from the camera. It's pretty simple to do.

Pretty sure we all saw that, I think you've misunderstood the concept of streaming video. Regardless if it was taped and then streamed, it had to be first streamed on the site to be seen and now it is classified as pre recorded.
