Thank you, I didn't know what to call it. I've had this happen, but usually when I am too busy to notice time or liek you said stressed!

In the mid 1980s, I woke up at about 5:18am. As I did, a song was ending on the radio.

I rolled over, closed my eyes, and tried to fall back asleep.

When I woke up (if I ever went back to sleep), the song I last heard was just beginning. I thought that was odd so I rolled over to see what time it was.

It was 5:15am.

I did not get out of that bed until it was after 5:18am.

(In the same decade, I saw two UFOs and had a dream about a third UFO. Not sure if that was related or not. To be clear, I saw to "unusual" objects in the sky. Neither landed. One was "the triangle.")

I experience those types of things a lot.

Here is the most memorable:

One morning I woke up to my alarm going off at the regularly scheduled time of 5:45 am. I turned the tv on, made some coffee, caught up on some work, and watched one of those morning talk shows that comes on at 9am. At around 9:30 am I took a shower and got dressed.
When I came back into the living room I noticed it had gotten much darker suddenly and thought a storm must be coming or something along those lines. Then my alarm clock went off again. I thought that was strange but figured there must be a reason for it. I gathered up a few things I needed for work and went back in the living room and noticed the television was once again airing the very same morning news program I'd already watched that morning. The time according to their clock was 6:05 am. That is when I got to wondering what was going on. I then proceeded to check every clock in the house and they all reflected that it was once again early morning. I looked out the window and saw that the sun was once again rising. Fascinated, I sat down and watched television straight through 9:30 am...and yes, the very same morning talk show came on. All I could think of was "Groundhog Day", but that was that. It was just that one morning repeating itself once.
Nothing strange or eventful other than that for that time frame. I had actually showered, made coffee and done work. Nothing in my house had changed at all.

Myself and another just had an experience over the weekend that was pretty intense, but I'll save it for later.

Fascinating subject! I love hearing about people's personal experiences and reading about such subjects.

I have had several time slips in my life, a few involving my cats- however I am not certain if they slipped time or if I slipped time.

One of the most memorable with my cats, my first time slip with a cat, was in 1999 getting home from work- getting out of my car and seeing my outdoors cat Buttons waiting for me on the porch and meowing to go inside. I take out my keys, open the door and she is not there anymore. I walk into the kitchen and totally freak out when I see her standing there in the kitchen meowing at me. I totally freaked out.

Another time slip- happened on Halloween night in 2002. I was sitting in my boyfriends parkinglot waiting for him to get home from work. I did not have a key to his apartment so I was waiting for him in my car. I knew I would be waiting 20 minutes for him atleast--- but then I remember waiting what seemed like forever- and I noticed little children getting into a car wearing halloween costumes- then I noticed as the car left- that his car was parked in that parking space. He said he did not see my car when he arrived. I have no idea how the car and I dissappeared or where we went and why he didnt see me when I was sitting there the entire time.
To this day I have no idea what happened- im not entirely sure it wasnt an alien abduction either because the "children wearing halloween costumes" felt a little too implanted to me.

I wanted to add my opinion on Time Slips that involve stepping into the past. I am a psychic/medium and work with the non-living on a frequent basis. There is a type of haunting called a Residual Haunting which is described as the following:

Residual haunting activity can occur when something traumatic/stressful occurs/or intense joy and bliss. Positive/Negative energy is literally blasted into the atmosphere, causing the atmosphere to imprint or record the events. Like a recording tape, it will play the events over and over again. The entities involved in this residual haunting activity are unaware of their surroundings. This is not an intelligent haunting, there is no interaction between you and the entity.

How it is recorded is the interesting part. Most residual hauntings are "recorded" like a recording tape- through the crystaline structures surrounding the area. Marble, Stone containing Quartz, natural Quartz in the ground, records these events the most clear.

I believe that when a time slip involves stepping into the past- it is a replay of that 'residual haunting' through its environment- whether it be a castle, a church, a home, or a battlefield.

AAAAAHHHH HAAAAAA! But not all of them are residual hauntings(I beleive there exists that type, too) but some of the true accounts I've read have involved actually people interacting or at least being noticed by others that are "Dressed in past attire" I wish I could find links right now, but I am pressed for time.

Perhaps you should talk to a poster here named woodwytch. She specializes in past life regression therapy. What you have experienced sounds similar to some posts on this thread.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

or maybe it really was a space time anomaly. Or maybe like some of that new age stuff about your consciousness expanding.. or something. It would be really interesting if you could have remembered the name of a shop or a newspaper headline so you could research that period. Although bowler hats lost popularity in the mid 1800s you would be surprised how sophisticated the mid 1800s looked in the north compared to the west. Also I think you should check to see how old that train station is.

also I too have gone back in time 3 minutes. I also completed a 30-35 minute drive in 18-20 minutes, and the traffic was actually pretty bad. It also seems like I've been loosing time 30 minutes at a time recently... for me the summer seems to be prone to anomalies for some reason.

My life is full of what i would call Time-slips or small hicups. Some are obvious at the time others not untill later. I had a realy strange day a few months ago and started a thread about it.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

To this day, I dont realy know what happened that day. I do know that some of the comments about my own mental health and needing medication were enough to get me to a doctor who gave me the all clear.

I believe time is changing, be it a frequency change or a change in human awareness.

Respects

still working on Unbreakable's post 30th Street Station wasn't built till the 1930s. The Reading Terminal train station was built in 1893 but it hasn't been in use since 1984. There are plenty of other train stations in Philadelphia I'll work on it later.

Half the people here on ATS claim to have had a run in with "Temporal Displacement Phenomenon". I am willing to say there are more that have had one and did not know it. I have had a few myself. Time slips, glitches in time, alternative time line, alternate reality, dead again-alive again and objects that disappear for no reason are all one and the same. They are aspects of temporal displacement. They are getting more and more bold and noticed. What is causing them is anyones guess but they have gotten to the point they can not longer be ignored. Like it or not believe it or not Temporal Displacement Phenomenon is real.

I have also had what you call a time slip, as in i dont know what happened to the time...

I was about 5-6 years old, me and my mother was on our way out the door and it was dark outside, maybe it was my imagination because kids do image things, but one minute it was night time, the next it was a sunny day... but nothing else changed, me and my mother were still on our way out. I said what happened to my mother, but she was totally unaware of anything happening. To this day ive always wondered "what the hell happened?", and now i come across this thread with others having a similar experience, which is good to know, but still no answer to what really happened. I dont think it was an abduction case or anything like that, but it was very strange.

I liked reading about your time slips.

I hope if you have anymore that you'll post them.

And the whole neighbor with the dog and the closed door was very strange.

Edited to add: here is another thread about time shifts. I post my "memory" of an event that others remember differently. But, before you click....ask yourself, What year did the Challenger disaster happen? (if you can't come up with a year, try thinking about where you were, what age you were then. No Google cheating!

I would say, it looks like a computer program written in computer language the end of it you will never be able to find because there is so many 0's and 1's and if you're good at programming and you can Remote view, you may be able to bust the code, JMO of what the time frame looks like.
