Some wise words by RZA of the Wu Tang Clan.

Lyrics:
[Intro: RZA (Daddy-O)]
Yeah, you knowwhatimean?
Cuz yo, this right here
Is called Knowledge of Self
When you apply that to yourself, you know yourself
You understand, yo, it's gonna get your third eye opened
You can see things for what they are, and not what they appear to be
Wanna kick the knowledge and pass this information to you?
Yo, there go the God right there, yo Peace, Born Knowledge
Peace God (Peace what up Bobby?)
Yo, yo... don't even call me Bobby no more, man (What I call you?)
My name is Prince Rakeem (Today's Mathematics?)
I see Today's Mathematics is being wisdom
Let me explain to you this way, God, the way I see it
[Chorus: female singer sample]
Ever since my Birth (no one there!)
I've had no one to care (worried all I know... yeah!)
[RZA]
They say wisdom, is the wise words spoken
By a brother attemptin' to open
The graves, of these mentally dead slaves
Who've been lost on a cross, for decades
And centuries, lookin' for the liberty
But receive nothin', but misery
And hard times, and things of that nature
By the devil in a genocide caper
Little Boy Peep, has lost his sheep
But I found 'em, in a deep long sleep
Nine thousand miles away from home
Livin' the life of a modern-day Flintstone
We the people, supposed to be equal
But the men who wrote that, they was evil
Slave owners, who did not include us
They just used us, and abused us
First they trick you, then mentally kill you
And use technologies, to rebuild you
This whole plan was a perfect scam
See that's why they called it, the Six Million Dollar Man
Six is the limitation of the Devil
In the Million square miles of land that he settles
Put you in a three piece suit, give you loot
Chemicals in your head to make you look cute
They use you as a fool to deceive your own people
And fillin' my children head with pins and needles
But I'll take out the pins you inserted
And I'll avenge all my mothers that you murdered
And brutalized, by this modern form of slavery
To speak the truth it takes bravery
And no man could stop my flow
Because I know what I speak and I speak what I know
[Hook: RZA]
What, becomes of a broken family?
Dreams are crushed and there's no more family
[Chorus 2X with RZA]
[RZA]
Yo, as a life can be slowed down 20 frames per second
Seen through Panavision
The inner light inside my mind's shines expands the prism
A man of wisdom, victorious and the glorious
Sight beyond sight we stand up as Divine Warriors
Who smite with the mighty right hand of God
Yield the holy sword, swings the holy rod
Then bathe in the pond of Nirvana, escape the realm of Karma
Allow the true grace of God to shine through my persona
And build the reconstructional terms that's constructive
As we destroy the negative germs that's destructive
Productively, sincerely, we uphold the righteous banner
With the gold touch of Midas, mold the righteous hammer
And anvil, to the sound of Man-drill
Ignite to the speed of light cause time to stand still
Rewrite the script of Egypt, who made the Holy Bible
Or Koran, how long ago, who made the Holy Title?
Of I Self Lord And Master, who control the vital
Parts of your heart, who wrote the wise recitals?
Ruler Zig-Zag-Zig Allah, Arm-Leg-Leg-Arm-Head
Still puzzled like the jigsaw
[Chorus to fade]

Holy crap dude! This song is freaking MINDBLOWING!!! The Rzas lyrics trip me the hell out, they really put me inside of head and get me thinking... I LOVE IT!!!

I freaking love wu tang and rzas my favorite I thought I've heard all his stuff, til I heard this.

Plus it sounds better.

Yeah ok, thats just your opionon. You are entitled to it, but not everyone agrees with you...

I don't get why a lot of people who like rock can't accept hip hop, it makes no sense to me. Me for instance, I LOVE classic rock from the 60s and 70s and I always have had a HUGE love for hip hop...

And not to insult you or anything, but most metal has nothing to do with world issues, and most of it is very far from enlightened music lol.

Why can't we all just get along? lol

I like this one real loud....I don't know about u.

Love this track!

Mashing Up The Earth by Junior Reed *I can't find the mix with Gangstarr (or Guru) on you tube, but it's KILLA!! (try limewire)

The message!!! One of the best hip hop songs EVER and that song is what basically started conscious hip hop and the whole enlightened rapper thing. Stuffs amazing!!!

God I freaking LOVE HIP HOP MUSIC with all my heart, I don't understand why some people hate it so much and some people won't even give it a chance. Some people are so ignorant and they all just assume its all about ignorant stuff like violence, drugs and guns... when in reality about 80 percent of REAL HIP HOP not the crap you see on tv isnt about those things.

I also find it funny how people say "all hip hop is about violence, and degrading women" then these same guys who say this stuff will go listen to some metal song thats about worshipping satan and using women as sex objects... lol makes no sense to me (and I have nothing against metal or rock, but that is pretty hypocritical to say that stuff, I've heard just as much offending things in rock music as I've heard in rap songs, maybe even more in rock to be honest).

heres a dope track by the hilltop hoods, im sure many have heard of them, most successful aussie hip hop artists

Verse One – Suffa
I speak from the heart, but only when I drink,
And I only ever sleep when I’m too tired to think,
Restlessness, the reaction that you will find,
From stress I guess and having a compassionate mind,
I worry bout the machine of progress, ain’t no stopping it,
The forest we destroy and the world we build on top of it,
Mercenaries get paid salaries to slaughter,
Girls obsessed with body image find calories in water,
Nurses comfort seven-year-old casualties of mortar,
A peasant’s daughter caught up in a war for a border,
And at home we treat our refugees like criminals,
Detention centres just a catch phrase for a minimal
Security prison, we drive gold trimmed cars,
Down the road an Afghani kid grows up behind bars,
And we wonder why they hate the west,
When we treat them like they’re second-class citizens at best,
We’re all pawns in a game, the USAs miniatures,
Aussie foreign policy with George Bush’s signature,
Peeps die for a watch and blue chip stock,
Did they do Big Pop or was it two bit cops,
I wanna sue kid rock for making rednecks think they’re hip hop,
Wanna swallow people’s pain and spit it from the hilltop,
Wanna affect change in the subjects that we talk on,
Connect strangers, work together and walk on.

Verse Two – Pressure
Polluting airways, mankind strays with no reforming,
So slap on that sunscreen and enjoy the global warming,
Cos ignoring world issues is what we all do best,
Just like Aussie politicians shoe shining for the U.S.
To save losing face, no thoughts to the fumes that trace,
Our sky lines and clogs our seas we swimming in consumer waste,
The fumes of hate rise globally but will it cease?
The day we try and find a little peace within the Middle East,
We shadow their borders yelling deplete their arms,
Its just war for black gold so they can grease their palms,
We all need a scapegoat, a villain to cop blame,
We’re just wolves in sheep’s clothing killing in gods name,
And that’s world wide, like global over population,
We mine the world dry of natural resources to feed our nations,
Appetite for waste, I see it everywhere,
I feel like throwing a flag of protest in Tienanmen Square,
We need to care for mother earth and all of her natural defences,
But talk is cheap, and taking action is expensive,
We wear our hearts on our sleeves, our flags on our borders,
And that’s why nuclear testings done in pacific foreign waters,
We follow reporters with the worth of a scholar,
And gather personal opinions from a rag worth a dollar,
Man this is not a subject; I feel lightly I can talk on,
The attitude is one man of many, so walk on.

Verse One – Pressure
I once had time on my hands, but now handling time,
Is coping with this life cycle and the mandatory grind,
My sanity’s fine, just falling short of stamina I’m,
Searching for some food for thought to feed this famine of mind,
And when I’m stagnant I rhyme, it helps the night turn to day,
I churn my way through this nine to five and urban decay,
Believe me it’s bleak, and though the city’s breaths in its sleep,
It’s just a paddock, ain’t no where a shepherds leading these sheep,
Now most prefer it covered up lie than the truth naked,
The truth is ugly like cellulite; please don’t publicly parade it,
I hate it but to escape it would be luck on fluke,
I feel like I’m a dope beat but I’m stuck on loop,
But that’s my life cycle; freedom means everything to me,
And face value’s got us believing everything we see,
So if our eyes tell us lies the truth is we’re blind,
So keep on walking straight and narrow down illusionary lines.

Verse Two – Pressure
I once had respect for this game, but now this game of respect,
Is sold to the highest bidder with some fame and a cheque,
Now any layman can get respect without breaking his neck,
Paying dues, time these crews started paying some debt,
It ain’t lights and cameras, personalities on set,
Distorting realities in their context,
With no originality concepts,
Who gives a # about a salary; this ain’t a popularity contest,
Cos hip hop ain’t faking for ends,
Hip-hop ain’t fading with trends,
It ain’t rich kids playing with pens,
It ain’t the clothes on your back, or the label on them,
It’s where you’re at, so I say it again,
It’s just my life cycle; music means everything to me,
It’s just a fashion show, nah; don’t believe everything you see,
Cos if our eyes tell us lies the truth is we’re blind,
So keep on walking straight and narrow down illusionary lines.

Verse Three – Pressure
That’s just my life cycle, nothing matters but setting me free,
Because my freedom and hip hop be meaning everything to me,
Now face values and fashions empower everything we be,
Believing everything we hear, and everything we see,
So if our eyes tell us lies, then we usually find,
Our visions cluttered by this scutter so the truth is we’re blind,
It’s just poison food for thought for these dillusionary minds,
So stop walking straight and narrow down illusionary lines.

"What if Hilary and all dem where reptilian." That's what Nas said on Jadakisses album the Last Kiss.

Glad you posted this, it's been going on for years! You should read some of the talk on hip hop forums about nwo, illumanti, and all that jazz. The hood has been aware of them for quite awhile.

There was a post sometime ago about the lyrics of Rza and being a 5%er. Good stuff!

It's also really funny watching someone put their own foot in their mouth. You blame metalheads for stereotyping and in the same freakin sentence you stereotype metalheads... smooth buddy..

Oh, and I listen to some hip-hop as well as metal, but I listen to the good #, not the crap on MTV, so don't try to accuse me of being a hater

just checking in and see what new stuff you have added. Those few aussie rappers and groups you have posted are pretty dope, I had never heard them before, I'm checking for some of their other stuff on youtube right now.

Anyways, I'm going to go through all my mp3s and find some dope stuff that hasn't been posted yet and if they have youtube vids up for the songs (I would just search around youtube, but its much easier to just look through my mp3s and then choose some songs and then look em up on youtube) I'll post em in here later in the day or tomorrow...

Peace!

lol I wasn't stereotyping man!!! All I was simply saying is these people who say this stuff are hypocrites... and they are. Because there is just as much offensive stuff in rock music as there is rap music.

And I wasn't talking about YOU. I donno who you are, why would I be talking about you? Seriously, who the hell are you? lol.

I was talking about in my OWN EXPERIENCE I have friends who don't like hip hop and they say that kind of stuff but then they will go to like slayer or something (good band by the way, but its hypocritical to say that stuff then go listen to satan music, and argue all you want but slayer is satan music, and slayer was the band I was talking about in my post, I just didn't name them) lol. Why would I just make some baseless claim? lol You are not my friend and you don't know my friends, so you know nothing about the kind of stuff they say (some of them say a lot of dumb stuff regarding hip hop music)..

What kind of huge ego do you have to think I was talking about you? Like I said, I don't know who the hell you are. Do I know you? no I don't.

I am seriously baffled how you got the idea I was talking about you, I don't think I've ever read one single post by you on all of ats. I don't recognize your name or your avatar or anything.

Whatever though... Just calm down...

Peace.

Just because they talk this stuff doesn't mean they know anything.
I really doubt they have much knowledge at all, certainly not occult philosophy type stuff.
Most rappers are just trying to launder drug money, or they are just trying to say impressive things.
The record companies push ignorance, not knowledge.
Rap is full of pseudo knowledge.

Excuse me while I bubble up some jumbos and then take the corner.

I just want to say THX you obviously know nothing about hip hop music. Most of the rappers in here are not on big record labels, so therefor they don't have to adhere to the rules of the record industry like you are talking about. Most these rappers rap about what they are interested in and rap about what they know. No record label is telling them what music to make. I have seen you come into every single thread about hip hop on here and insult the intelligence of people who like this music.

Why can't you just say you don't like hip hop music and move along? Why do you have to insult peoples intelligence? Well I don't know why I'm asking this question, because judging from your other posts i've seen on this board, you are a OBVIOUS troll who LOVES attention.

What these rappers are doing IS NO DIFFERENT then what rock bands in the 60s did protesting the war. No difference WHAT SO EVER! Matter of fact rappers are some of the only musicians on EARTH with the guts to make music about this type of stuff.

what music do you listen to? I'm sure we can pick apart your music too and find certain musicians who don't know their stuff. There is good and bad music in ALL forms of music. I'm willing to bet whatever music you listen to I consider total crap, just like you consider my music crap (although I would NEVER insult someones taste in music like you do).

Music is a very personal thing, you don't insult peoples music. People take it just as seriously as religion and politics (atleast I do)

And that little comment you made the end of your post gives me the impression that you are racist and you think all black are drug dealers. Racists SUCK!
