I'm eating humble pie and my words, I said I'd never post here again, in the 9/11 forum. However I think I have a question which will help sway me strongly to one side of the argument, I'd really appreciate some help...

Is there any footage/documents that shows Bin Laden or some other high Al Queada-ite stating 9/11 was NOT done by them?
It would also be interesting if the US government is blamed in there somewhere.

I remember hearing reports of him denying culpability shortly after 9/11.
Will see if I can dig something up.
Regardless of what he says, how about what he is actually wanted for by U.S.? Bombings in Kenya/Tanazania, no mention of 9/11. See FBI most wanted terrorists.
Somewhat odd, 9/11 not at the top of the list?

I remember bin Laden issuing a "told you so" type rant, but never taking credit for the actions. I think he said the evil west had gotten what it deserved, but normally they take direct credit and issue future warnings, and I don't think that ever happened.

A Pakistani Newspaper (The Daily Uhmat, I think) conducted an interview with Bin Laden a few weeks after 9/11 where he said he wasn't involved. The problem is, this interview was a written interview I.E. they mailed him a list of written questions in care of the Taliban gov't and someone mailed a written answer back. There's no way, shape or form anyone can prove it actually came from Bin Laden rather than whatever ministry of propaganda the Taliban gov't used to have. They can't even prove the questions even actually made it to Bin Laden. The credibility of this interview is rather spurious.

On the other hand, a Jordanian journalist personally interviewed bin Laden (and has the video footage to prove it) that showed Bin Laden had intimate knowledge of the attack that he otherwise wouldn't have had. Later, he broadcasted on al Jazeera a video statement (and Al Jazeera has their own methods of authenticating Al Qaida broadcasts) admitting he and his bunch were behind the attack.

In the end, it doesn't change anything, since one side will see it as a blatant admission of guilt while the other side will see it as the blatant work of armies of secret gov't disinformation agents. If you want to believe the gov't is behind it then you're goign to believe the gov't is behind it regardless of what anyone ever tells you.

This site presents arguments showing he was not responsible :
www.911evidence.info...

Youtube reports Cheney admitting he is not :
www.youtube.com...

Other, easy to find info shows he's not on the FBI list for it.

i find it odd though, that i could see this thread without any reply, but already bearing the sentence "this thread is under close scrutiny due to member demand", right after the OP posted it ...
we live in a troll-hunting, paranoid world me think

Thanks guys. Some quick replies, good as well.
I'm thinking even if I did see something with BL admitting it he could have been bribed or whatever due to his close links to the Bush family.

Did you even listen to the clip he posted? He said "the evidence has never been forthcoming" and that "we never made the case". Later on the year that clip was taken...

In March 2007, after four years in captivity, including six months of detention at Guantanamo Bay, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed — as it was claimed by a Combatant Status Review Tribunal Hearing[8] in Guantanamo Bay — confessed to masterminding the September 11, 2001 attacks, the Richard Reid shoe bombing attempt to blow up an airliner over the Atlantic Ocean, the Bali nightclub bombing in Indonesia, the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and various foiled attacks.[9]

On December 8, 2008, Mohammed and four co-defendants sent a note to the military judge expressing their desire to confess and plead guilty.[10]

He directly implicates Bin Laden in his trial, you can download the actual transcript from this page if you wish.

After 4 years of interrogation and 6 months at Gitmo, he probably would've confessed to killing JFK, Elvis, and Marilyn Monroe. This is exactly why torture doesn't produce good results.

I am not entirely against torture persay. It has its place, especially in combat situations, but I don't think any credible "new" information came along after 4 years.

We already knew he did it and we have computer files from his computer that implicate him. We know he has had dealings with Bin Laden in the past and was under him in the structure.

It would be a stretch to say that terrorist a who works for terrorist organization x under terrorist b had to be tortured to confess when we already have all of this information as fact.

From the CNN Archives, September 17, 2001 archives.cnn.com...

DOHA, Qatar (CNN) -- Islamic militant leader Osama bin Laden, the man the United States considers the prime suspect in last week's terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, denied any role Sunday in the actions believed to have killed thousands.

In a statement issued to the Arabic satellite channel Al Jazeera, based in Qatar, bin Laden said, "The U.S. government has consistently blamed me for being behind every occasion its enemies attack it.

"I would like to assure the world that I did not plan the recent attacks, which seems to have been planned by people for personal reasons," bin Laden's statement said.

Here is an in depth video that includes footage of Bin Laden's first few statements after 9/11/2001

The first statement OBL wasn't really denying that they did it, but rather questioning why America wasn't negotiating with them.

I truely feel that Al-Queda thought America would cowtow to them after the attack (Like Spain did).. They were VERY incorrect in that assumtion.

Here is the compilation of relevant video footage:

Did you drive your taxi in Pakistan and Afghanistan making you the resident expert? Osama has been dead for over 7 years. Dead means not alive and not making videos and audios. Regardless what your preachers tell you; the dead cannot speak from the grave. Khalid Sheikh Moussouai is the new hero of the 9-11 perps and the new Mastermind of 9-11. Can't you keep it straight?

Khalid Sheikh Moussouai is the new hero of the 9-11 perps and the new Mastermind of 9-11.

WHO? Do you mean Khalid Sheikh Mohammed? Or are you refering to Zacharias Moussaoui?

Can't you keep it straight?

BWAHAHAH! Can't YOU? Arent you a resident expert on all things 9/11 through your diligent and thorough "research?"

Keep it straight yourself, if you are going to demand I "keep it straight."

IRONY!

There is no proof that Bin Laden did 911 all the information that been given to the public has been hearsay from the FBI. If Bin Laden really admitted to doing 911 then we would have a real admission of guilt, and the FBI would have charge him. However, the FBI has not charge Bin Laden for any connection to 911 it is to believe that Bin Laden died in 2002, but again there is no proof of that either.

"I would like to assure the world that I did not plan the recent attacks, which seems to have been planned by people for personal reasons," bin Laden's statement said.

If you read the transcript he confesses that it was his idea and his plan and he only asked Bin Laden for approval. That falls precisely under what Bin Laden said.

Your comments show that you didn't read what I posted and then commented on it.

In other words; "This guy comes to me, pitches me this plan, and asks for financing. I edit the plan, approve it, get the funds approved, and give the order to carry it out when the time comes."..... Thats the story that was given at the trial, and its sure as hell not what "the media told me".
