Yea, these older cases with more official evidence are the best. The is nothing to debunk really, IMHO. Good thread, and it is interesting that the supposed first contact at Edwards (then Muroc AFB) was only two years later in February of 1954. The Greada treaty was eventually signed later with the Greys.

Ah, the Edwards case, where Eisenhower used the old "my tooth hurts" cover story to dodge the press. Or maybe he actually had a toothache.

I must say some of these tales were put together by people who did their homework. The Reagan briefing "transcript" has him at Camp David on March 6-8, 1981 for the briefing and he was actually there . . . it makes an entertaining read.

Even the Serpo material has the date of the exchange in NM on the same date as the Lonnie Zamora sighting.

I don't mind being entertained by what I have to consider "fan fiction" for some of this UFO material, but you do have to take it with a grain of salt although I admire the imaginations of the authors. Who knows, I might be concocting wild tales myself if I weren't such a dullard.

Could you link the Reagan briefing, I do not know if I have seen that before. Also the SERPO coinciding with the Lonnie Zamora incident is probably just a well researched hoax. SERPO has been debunked has it not? I did not research SERPO much and missed the majority of the thread so I really do not know.

I saw a huge triangle with huge white lights on the bottom in an odd configuration. 4 to 5 down one side, 2 down the other. I could only tell the shape of the craft when it slightly tilted. The surface was minimally reflective. Just after it tilted, it seemed to fold in on itself and just completely disappeared right in front of my eyes. Cloudless night by the way. The object was moving way to slow for it's size to be any kind of conventional aircraft, not to mention no blinking lights and no noise. I reported it ti MUFON and they followed up with me. According to the information I gave them, they estimated the size of the craft to be about 2 football fields in length. I live directly northeast of Stephensville, TX, I mean a straight line from there.
I saw more strange lights the same night as the 2nd sighting in Stephenville. Huge lights. First one, then another, then another in a row, and then bam - gone!! No, they were not flares or chinese lanterns either. This was also a cloudless night. The first sighting was indeed spectacular and eye opening. The 2nd I cannot say for sure it was a craft, just strange and the same night as the 2nd Stephensville sightings.

That is really fantastic, thanks for sharing it. Contacting MUFON is the right thing to do too because when they can get a few completely unrelated witnesses saying the same thing you've got a really compelling incident.

Good question.

Sorry for your frustration.

This psychologist, sociologist will hazard these guesses:

1. Naysayers et al typically veer away from the troublesome cases.

2. It has increasingly seemed to me that in our stressed out era . . . where the phony [witness Michael Jackson noise and chaff] is glorified . . . drugs and thrill seeking substitute for the real adventure of living honesty with integrity and responsibility . . . daring to be loving and courageously responsible to one's loved ones . . .

that many folks just do NOT SEEM UP TO dealing with the frightful UNCONTROLLABLE IMPLICATIONS of the 'others.'

So, they engage in willful blindness and ignoring such.

3. Folks have been brainwashed to AVOID thinking in our era and culture. Thinking about troublesome frightful galactically complicated critters, facts, issues . . . is quite beyond far toooo many. Shoot, many of my college students can't even manage the most basic spelling and writing tasks. Critical thinking is like quantum physics to them.

My 2 cents.

LOL, that is not something I would consider "fun" or "thrilling", but I know what you mean.

In spite of the many very clumsy cover-ups that have taken place, the government does do a pretty good job of discrediting the majority of things that end up getting leaked.

I've seen videos that claim the movie "The Day the Earth Stood Still" was sponsored by the government to test audience reactions to an open DC landing scenario. Since the Orsen Wells radio broadcast of "War Of The Worlds" had such a profound effect on it's listeners, their fears were obviously not unfounded.

Also, what better way to hide something in plain sight than helping to produce a fictional version of the real thing? That way, if anyone talks, they'll be laughed off as taking movies too seriously. The more outlandish it is, the more the average Joe will be inclined to consider it nonsense.

Some sources say that we've had real versions of "The Time Tunnel" and "Star Trek" since the Montauk Projects.

I'm just saying...

It is threads like this that caused me to start lurking in ATS years ago.
Keep up the great work and I can add nothing to it other than to say I do not need a smoking gun to know we are being visited. I have seen my proof in the skies over Edinburgh. My problem I was so vocal about it I nearly ended up divorced

The most disturbing part that debunkers play is: There is far more evidence in the reports you have presented, than it would take to convict someone in a court of law. And see them sentanced to death by electrocution.
There are those among us who are delusional. Those who are in denial about what they themselves were witness to. Several of my friends and I witnessed a UFO,some 38 years ago. A very close friend watched the incident with us(was even in awe of the whole situation,as we were) Denied seeing the UFO that very night, and denies it to this day.
I believe that there are people that can convince themselves ,of a lie. As the truth is beyond what their minds can bear.
Great thread!!! Great research!!!! S&F

Very true Karl, but so much hasn't been swept under the rug either. It sits out there waiting to be found and put into its' proper context. Keep digging everyone!

Very high level meetings and conversations involving President Truman took place as a result of this famous incident. I did post this information at the tail end of some older threads about the 1952 DC sightings but got no response and think it is worthy of its' own thread.

Thanks for sharing this one fls13,
its new for me and I find it quite interesting.
S&F bumb.

Regarding your discussion with jkrog08 about Eisenhower perhaps you find this interesting.

UFO researcher Art Campbell is interviewed by Jerry pippin about the alleged Eisenhower visit to Holloman AFB on Feb. 9, 1955

(You can hear tapes of some very credible sounding witnesses he found that were willing to come forward - one saw a saucer land on the runway, one saw second one in the air and another claims he saw Eisenhower enter the disc on the runway and stayed for about 45 minutes. Campbell's online book has some interesting photos of Eisenhower and Air Force One, in those days a C-121 Constellation, commonly known as a connie.)

www.ufocrashbook.com...

UFO Researcher Art Campbell brings a highly documented report to Jerry about evidence that President Eisenhower landed at an Air Base in New Mexico and secretly met for 45 minutes with ETs in a Flying Saucer that had landed at the end of the runway. The program features actual voices of witnesses who were there that day when the event took place.
Links to the two part interview.

Great stuff! Could these guys have seen an Avro Car? The US got involved with its' development in 1955, but apparently none actually flew until several years later.

The line between our own advancements in avionics and UFO sightings: Which came first the chicken or the egg?
