Peacejet, you are so full of crap it's not funny. These things have been posted all over the Internet. These objects are coming from outer space. You can clearly see the objects breakthrough the ionization trail in many videos. They are occurring more frequently and mostly in Eastern Europe. Just do a search and I'm sure you can find the videos. Your explanation should read; "it appears to be upper atmosphere swamp gas."

You are right! This is a rocket launch pure and simple. I lived in Lompoc Calif for 10 years and Vandenberg AFB is right next door. Vandenberg launched quite a few missiles while I lived there and that cloud formation as well as the bright object with the 'bloom' around it is exactly what I saw every time they launched at night. Go dig up some night launch videos on google and you will see the exact same thing. Ignore has it right. No need to get your fur ruffled. Lenitcular clouds is a good guess but it's wrong, sorry.
