All roads lead to Rome...that is, the fall of Rome.

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion.
The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is
wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts
they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions,
it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...
And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not
warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of
resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as
to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost
in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from
time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It is its natural manure." - Thomas Jefferson

This is how I see it. These corrupt leaders must be washed out. But do not sleep easy...not far from when they are gone, more will be back.

And one time, it will be a person not only with the intentions to get rich, but to destroy the country.

Our society is set up to give those with a brain to actually do something in life...but it is those same people who have to start the revolution, violent or not (IMO). A person with it all, just to risk it all.

In this world, power is directly proportionate to money and public influence. Doesn't matter if you are a genius...

This is a real raw nerve for me, in Scotland all we seem to do is pay high tax to fund the layabouts and drug users to live a care free life of free housing, benefits and encouragment to procreate and encourage their ilk to follow suit. I for one hate our countrys welfare state and the generation of absolute wasters our taxes are helping to create. Every month I look at my pay slip and see the £800 tax going out and it makes me want to lash out
. At least you get to file your taxes we get deducted each month and if you earn a certain amount, which I am close to then you pay 45% tax. I am seriously considering moving to another country as what do I get for my taxes, a shambles of a government fiddling expenses and a country full of people not even fit to be shot

Nelson actually said "I'm thinking about it". He isn't going to want to go to jail. He didn't say what the OP said.

Joe the Plumber, now Craig the coach.

I have a feeling TPTB / MSM will make him eat his words "fiscally responsible"

Coach, are you sure you have paid all your taxes in the past? Have you ever hired an illegal for yard work? ya see where I'm going with this. He has set himself up for a character assassination, coach, coach, coach

Well said, you and Canada are right in front of all Americans to see along with Englands gun laws and we do nothing when all the same horrers are at our door step in America. We will get what we deserve for being what we have become"sheep like".

The only hope we have is those of us who have lived for nothing will stand up and be ready to die for something when the time comes,I don't have much hope of that.

P.S Quote from Rambo 4,not mine.

Over 60% of the American public support single payer insurance comparable to the rest of the industrialized world. Yet not one representative was allowed to speak on behalf of single payer during congressional hearings!!! Only insurance hacks allowed. That is taxation without representation and it must stop. Prez Obama campained on healthcare reform and in the past has claimed support for single payer has now taken the option off the table.

We know who are working for and it is not the "We The People". Disgusting....

A friend of ours had to go to prison for a year.

The tea party was a great idea, but it became a huge umbrella for every grievance that wasn't directly related to taxation.

Fill out a new W2 Claiming Tax Exempt Status with no withholding. Your employer must comply - it will take about 2 to 3 years before the IRS machinery takes notice of most such revolter - if your in the 20% or above tax bracket much sooner.

revolutions come at voting booths...

in a democratic republic, which is America, you vote in a person whom you want to lead and represent you

if your candidate wins, great...and hopefully he will do what he said he will do. if he doesnt...you get someone else when his term comes about

just because you dont understand how the system works, doesnt mean you can therefore ignore it.

simply put, you dont pay taxes, eventually you will go to prison..many people have, and many people will...and thats where they belong for trying to freeload off the rest of us.

what your saying is...if a leader isnt perfect, I shouldnt have to pay taxes...thats simply bullocks...if that was the case, half the population in any given year would be griping that they arent being represented, and that the programs they are cutting/keeping go against what you want your money to be going for...

and the answer to that is...suck it up! make your case better next time about why a different candidate should be in..in the meantime, pay the taxman or its 3 hots and a cot...and prison aint fun...no martyrs behind bar..just a bunch of loud mouth angry people telling you your a idiot.

Voting booths are one way, money is another.

See my post here.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

I would love to see the government lock up people who organize groups of people to OBEY the law.

Think about it. It would work quickly as much of these revenues go directly into local "General Funds"

How could anyone be against such a movement?

I've been thinking about this for a while, although you would need alot of people to do it, a decent % of the population and it couldn't be long term.

For instance, organise a party and let whoever wants to be a part of it know that on this date, till this date, all members wouldn't be paying taxes, say a month. If that doesn't get the message across, then make it longer.

This is treading dangerous ground however, this could provoke some of the citizens aswell, as they will blame the people 'not paying taxes' for all the problems created to teach us a lesson.

This would be alot harder in Britain, we can't just walk into the inland revenue and say "I'm not paying taxes anymore", we'd get deffered and passed around for months before we'd finally get a resounding NO! If we tried to take it any firther, we'd be arrested for tax evasion.

Then again to be fair, im not sure how the Amercian system works.

[California Lawmakers to constituents: since you didn't agree to fund our programs (which are of course for your own good(we know better how to spend your money than you)) we are taking away YOUR money from the programs to which YOU allocated it for, fire, police, education, etc..

I feel bad for all of you living in the DPRC.

Democratic Peoples Republic of California]

Seems someone forgot that it was the actor named Arnold, the "economic squirrellyman" governor, not the "lawmakers", that forced the California people to vote on HIS idea to raise taxes, and they shot it down.

When did this actor Arnold become a Democrat?

Nice try, no cigar.

You see, I am old enough to remember it was another actor, named Ronnie, (why are those on the "Right" so infatuated with images over substance, anyway? Do they believe Hollywood fiction are documentaries?) that tripled our state taxes while dismantling the finest free community college system in the US. That is the agenda on the so-called "Right": to dumb down the masses (and from the example you give, working extremely well), and only have expensive higher education available for the very wealthy, or by forcing the non-wealthy to take loans from the banks they own to fund the education.

You have a nice day, and come back when you have your facts straight.
