Circumstances: Emanuel was last seen with his mother, Carmen Aguilera, and father, Benito Guzman, on May 21, 2009. Felony warrants were issued for the companions on May 22, 2009. They may still be in the local area or they may have traveled to Mexico. They may be traveling in a brown 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Colorado license plates 781 SLH or a tan 2004 Ford Pickup with Colorado license plates 491 SKZ. Emanuel has scars on both hands. He may go by the nickname Manny.

Age at the time of disappearance: 33

Identifying Characteristics: Pierced ears, several missing teeth, tattoo of the word Metro on chest, letter "G" representing life on right arm, a sword on right forearm. words "Established in 1975" on right arm, word "Love" on left forearm, word "War" on right forearm, bomb on left hand, initials "PM" on right hand, word "Top Shottas" on top left arm, a dollar sign on right arm with letters "ESP."

Circumstances of Disappearance: Michael was last seen on video pulling into the parking area and exiting his vehicle at the Latin Mix convenience store in the vicinity of the 900 block of Fulton Ave., in Salisbury. A Hispanic man was seen entering Michael's vehicle and removing an unknown item and is considered an investigative lead. His cell phone is missing, but identification and other personal items left in his vehicle.

STATUS: ENDANGERED MISSING PERSON

Good idea but hopeless.

I think vacations are great and what not, but its important to not become a victim of a kidnapping abroad. So here are some guidlines and prevention techniques to protect you from becoming a victim:

If living or traveling in somewhere notorious for kidnapping, however, you might want to remember the following:

- Be wary of anyone who asks too many questions regarding your income, residence, professional and family situation. Not that you should get paranoid when making smalltalk but if it sounds like a list is being made then it’s possible you’re being sized up as a hostage candidate.

- If living somewhere high-risk like Mexico City or Medellin, change your route into town on a regular basis so that your movements becomes that extra bit unpredictable and you become harder to apprehend.

- Avoid making large payments by credit card as big spenders find their way onto kidnappers’ wish lists in a hurry. I’s a cinch for them to get hold of sensitive information as informants looking for a commission are everywhere.

- If you’re passing through a country that’s experiencing civil war or is notorious for bandits, travel only by day and preferably in company.

How not to get kidnapped

But seriously people use your Common sense. If a stranger approaches you and offers you a ride or a asks if you want to share a taxi, say no and move along your way. If at anytime you are feeling scared or feel as if you are being followed, call the police or go to the U.S Embassy.

If you meet anyone in a bar or club, do not share drinks and ALWAYS watch your drink. Do not leave it unattended and be wary of your surroundings. Sure vacations are fun, but only if your not being sold as a sex slave or worse. So basically, use common sense and always be aware of your surroundings....

But there’s a reason we included Philippines among the countries most likely to get kidnapped. North Cotabato, Mindanao, Zamboanga peninsula, Basilan, Tawi-Tawi and the Sulu archipelago are just a few areas that a traveler should necessarily avoid. Apart from the usual robberies and kidnappings, foreigners also risk having a drug put in their drink that knocks one out immediately. Tourists are then either robbed, raped or have their kidneys taken. 10 hours are needed to wake up from the drug and another 3 days to remember what happened

Venezuela – With some of the most spectacular landscapes and the longest waterfall in the world, Venezuela truly is a sight not to be missed, if you’re willing to leave aside street crime, kidnappings or political turmoil. If not, know that street crime is present on a daily basis throughout the country. Tourists in Venezuela are the easiest target for pickpockets so try to look like anything but a tourist. Don’t wear jewelry, watches, avoid unfolding maps, taking pictures and stay away from poor areas. To avoid problems, simply stay in the touristic areas.

3. Colombia – National parks, high mountains, cruise boats or soaring skyscrapers are just a few of the numerous attractions Colombia has to offer. Even though it might same like an untroubled paradise, Colombia has its fair share of drug dealers, robberies and kidnappings. Even though safety has improved in recent years, Colombia still suffers from high kidnapping and homicide rates in urban areas. The extra violence is provoked by the guerrillas which operate mainly in rural areas – the places to be avoided are the border areas with Ecuador and Venezuela.

2. Brazil – The largest country in South America, teeming with beaches and untamed forests, Brazil is one the most vibrant and colorful places on the continent. As with the other countries on the list, the downside is the street crime present in big cities, where attacks against tourists have become frequent. Apart from the usual kidnappings, there are also a high number of muggings so simply leave your valuables at the hotel and take with you only a small amount of money. To top it all off, Brazil experienced an increase in the number of yellow fever and dengue fever cases, so be sure to have your shots before entering the country.

They are people, who either because of overworking, not being careful enough with their teaching to their children about predators, or quite simply were most likely someone who should never have bred to begin with.

Update!! Neveah Buchanan

Michigan police have named a second person of interest in the disappearance of 5-year-old Neveah Buchanan, and both men are registered sex offenders who are pals with the missing girl's mother.

The latest person of interest is Roy Lee Smith, 48, who was released from prison last year after serving 15 years for multiple criminal sexual misconduct convictions, according to the Michigan Department of Corrections Web site. Other convictions include mulitple counts of larceny.

Young Girl Allegedly Disappears From Motown Gas Station
On the evening of Thursday, October 2, 2008, cops say 2-year-old Tangena Hussain disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

The child was reported missing by her mother's boyfriend, Jamrul Hussain. Though they share the same last name, the girl and Jamrul are not related.

Jamrul alleges that he stopped at a gas station shortly after 9pm to fuel up, buy some gum and pick up some juice for the small child. When he went into the store at 9:02 p.m., that's when, he says, the girl vanished into thin air, the purported victim of an abduction.

Surveillance video verifies Jamrul's story about what he was doing at the time of the girl's disappearance, but much to the dismay of investigators, there is no video evidence of what happened to little Tangena.

Mere moments later, after leaving the store at 9:06 p.m., Jamrul hurried back in, claiming that Tangena was no longer in the car.

Identify: Tangena has a scar on her upper lip/chin area from a burn.

Last seen: Detroit, MI

As noted on the first page my sister-in-law went missing a few years back, and after reading that statement my blood boiled.

Look, no matter how great of a parent you are there a few factors still out there that you can not control. One is chance. Obviously there is nothing you can do about that. The other. everyone seems to forget when they use the "Blame the Parents" cop out, is that these people have their own minds. They choose their own course of action regardless of what they have been taught.

This happens all the time. From the husband who drives a different route to work and doesn't bother to call his wife , to the teenager who decides to sneak out and go to a party.

We are all guilty of doing something like this in our lifetime, and not even giving a second thought to the consequences... no matter WHO taught us.

Now don't get me wrong, there are bad parents out there, but come on, you really believe that those millions that have gone missing have all had bad parents?

I don't think it is so easy to just walk off and disappear.(of your own free will)
These days everyone is expected to have a photo ID.
So if you wanted to vanish, how do you take care of that big detail?

When you get a driver's license you have to show your birth certificate.
How do these younger ones manage that?

If you have all these items and simply run off and someone really wants to find you, you can be traced via your social security & or tax record. Assuming that you are working and not being paid under the table.

I did read stats somewhere that showed that most people were found.
(living or dead) and that very few remained truly missing.

Neveah Buchanan's Body is found: LINK

The body of Neveah Buchanan, the 5-year-old who went missing almost 14 days ago was found in River Raisin in Southeast Michigan.

According to police reports the body of the 5 year old girl was found by a fisherman, Guy Bickley, who is 51 years of age. Following the discovery of the body, Bickley immediately called up the police authorities of the small town that is about 35 miles from Detroit.
