It is thought that a 7.4 quake has hit just of the coast of the Caribbean.

USGS says a quake of 7.4 magnitude strikes 27 miles off Roatan, Honduras
Tsunami watch is now issued..

Im pretty worried about this one, Its quite shallow and this could cause quite a bit of damage,

According to USGS


USGS models say no major damage expected by the powerful earthquake, but was felt very strong in La Ceiba, Honduras.



They dont expect to much damage.. Thats something i guess

Also its been just down graded to a 7.1 which is still pretty big
tsunami watch still in place

a depth of 10km too. very shallow. could be potentially very bad.

From what i have just read up on they pretty much think it will be ok, Due to past quakes data, I would have thought this would have been deadly but according to what im reading it should be ok,

Ok as there has been no statement from Honduras there is concern that that have suffered serious damage, The quake lasted for 88 seconds,

Keep your eye on this latest news, I hope all is ok,

Tsunami warning has been lifted, so that's one less thing..

New Reports coming in that there is damage in Honduras Local media is reporting casualties; there are reports of fires and some structural damage. Rescue operations underway.

I also heard a stadium wall was done,

Sounds like there may be quite a number of casualties and possible fatalitys,

More as i can get it,
