Oh gosh gimme a break..
If that thing was alive they would have kept it alive...I mean even the children would have done so....Just to show it alive and say hey, this is my alien..
Torturing it like that just seems too far fetched in my opinion.

first off I agree that this looks like a toy that has spent a bit too long on the sun bed but one thing that struck me was the sincerity of the people being interviewed, maybe they thought they were being auditioned for Slumdog Millionaire 2 but they seemed pretty genuine to me, particularly the woman towards the end. Is it possible that they did see something and that the 'real' evidence was replaced by the first toy available from the local markets?

Well if anything, it's a good social experiment in what will happen if confronted with freaked out kids.
I somehow think this would happen no matter what country they showed up in.

It would've taken the news reporters 5 seconds of feeling it to know it was rubber.

I also had to laugh when, in the news report, some of the people said it walked and then died when hit by a brick. Classic!
