There is not much "news" anymore, imo, just charged rhetoric. I watch 10 minutes of San Francisco news in the morning because I enjoy the team (hey Drew!) and 10 minutes of BBC because I want to know the worst of what happened yesterday.

Just seriously mom and I were driving to the restaurant.

Traffic lights not working, but like three cop cars and what looked like the fire brigade in the middle of the road.

And then I saw, the silver blanket, and the hand sticking out.

Later I asked at the Sushi store.

They knew this lady, but she was hit by a truck.

I think this event touched you. I would encourage you to muse in a Haikuish (yes, that's a word!) way and explore your feelings further. You just never know what will pop out when we look at the past and are also confined to a 5-7-5 format. ;o)
