New SOAD song was leaked last month!

SOAD - Cigaro

I like it, it took a few listens for me to feel it, but I really enjoy it.
I can't wait for the new album - it's due around April 26, 2005. I really can't wait to see them live again, it's been waaaaay too long.

Check it out!

2 more songs off the new albums have been put online now, they're live from Big Day Out.

The first is called "Holy Mountain", it's not bad. It's a slowish kind of song, and sounds pretty good live.

The second is called "Kill Rock n Roll"... great tune, fast paced (compared to the Holy Mountain) and lively. It'll be greeat to hear this one in particular mastered on the album.

Even without hearing anything from the new albums, I could hardly wait for the new stuff. Having heard several songs off them, I really can't wait! These albums should kick some serious a$$ judging by the leaked material.

These songs being leaked comes as a good time, as well. "BYOB" which is the first planned single of the album, has been pushed back several weeks, due to the album itself being delayed. So 'BYOB' won't be hitting airwaves until March 22, or so.

Can't wait!!

Anyone heard the new single, "BYOB" (Bring Your Own Bombs) yet?
I've listened to it a couple of times since it hit the airwaves last week, and it's growing on me. I don't really like how the song begins (Daron screaming is mostly what bothers me, just doesn't seem to quite fit).
I'm really liking the rest of it, though. I don't think it compares to cigaro or kill rock n roll, but I think it's a good tune all in all

Put it this way....I rather listen to Elton John then System of a Down. Their music is terrible and their lyrics are absouletly stupid. Theirs this one song about .....building a prison....and then theirs another that mentions a cow or some thing over a lake. I am glad that they no longer play System of a Gay on MTV.

Maybe you should give "Prison Song" another listen... there's more to the lyrics, and they have more meaning when they're read or listened to as a whole.

If your definition of stupid is lyrics that actually have meaning and make the listener think; than yes SOAD are absolutley stupid...
I must admit, they are not for everyone. But I think the rawk!!

I listened to the whole album...
There's a lot of really good tunes.
Listening to the self titles album right now.. and they've completely changed, imo. It's a good thing though. Great stuff.

Also got word that SOAD will be making a stop in Toronto in the next 2 weeks or so.

I've just listened to their new album 'Mesmerize' and it's pretty damn good, much different. I don't really like the back up vocalist though.. Kinda gets on my nerves.

Their self titled owns!

Daron's presence on this album is too much. I like his added vocals in some songs, but I think he's there too much in this album.
Serj's voice is fantastic and Daron's voice is just overwhelming.

Still a good album, though.

You check it out, SE7EN?

I've listened to the album about 20 times in the last week and a half (it's short, about 33 minutes), and I love it. At first I was a little iffy on some songs, but I've really gotten into it. It's totally different from the other albums, but it's no less great.

Me too

Hypnotize should be great, I don't doubt they'd save the stronger material for the next album. I've heard a few songs off it, and they just rock. They're excellent songs.

I already know Mezermize is great.

I expect Hypnotize (due this fall) will be even better.
