Just a word of caution: the sun causes cancer.

I got skin cancer from an allergy from the sun when I was 12 four different times. While it may be a healer make sure you wear sunscreen at least.

the sun causes cancer.

i would say , maybe excessive sun causes cancer

excessive anything will cause problems.

but to just say 'sun cause cancer' is what i mean by the way we are taught to fear the sun.

plants need sun, if you leave them in the sun though and don't provide water, they die!
and different plants have adapted to need different amounts of sun.
anyway...

NOW

i have been looking at the sun the last weeks since i started the thread. Just a little every morning ( well when the suns out!) and so far no bad effects on the eyes.

two things have stood out though.

1)i have been getting up before sunrise nearly everyday and waiting for the sun.
when it comes i feel an immense joy

2) i don't know if i can attribute it to this but i have stopped eating meat. I love meat but i haven't been eating it, don't feel like it , don't want to I dont even miss it. its kinda strange because i feel like its not my decision even though i am making constant decisions not to.
I have had vegetarian girlfriends and never, never been a vego myself before...very weird...

anyway i will keep looking...

i had the same questions in my thread that i started long ago:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

it was my second thread on ATS!

if you haven't, watch some interviews with Dan Burisch, about the possibility of aliens utilizing photosynthesis! ...watch as much stuff as you can from him - you won't regret it!

Hi just browsing and found this thread.

About 30 years ago when i was still under 10 i remember once sitting in the kitchen and staring at the sun for ages, I reckon it was at least 10/15mins but I could be wrong - the thing that has always remained with me was the beauty and majesty of it once your eyes adjust. I swear I could see the corona and mass ejections as the surface of the sun boils and seethes with energy.
Years later when we started getting all the photos of the sun on the net in different light waves it proved to many of my friends I had not been making this up as the surface was as I described.

I am not suggesting anybody else does this and I have never done it again but it was amazing and I'm not blind.

The sun is the reason we exist and the source of most of our energy. It is only natural to hold it in awe and for many to worship the giver of life.

After writing this I remembered a Gary Larson Cartoon

a boy and his father are sitting in the loungroom watching the sunset on tv
meanwhile we can see the sun is setting outside through the window.

cant find it, but in a way in sums it all up...

Is this the cartoon you're referring to? This one's by an Australian artist named "Leunig:"

Perhaps there's another version as well.

I've done it for well over a year now. There are Yahoo groups if anyone is interested.

I met HRM about a year and a half ago and he was quite a powerful personality. I thought I'd try it.

I didn't go blind. I've not went blind yet. lol In fact, I had to get new glasses because my vision improved so much.

Yesterday we drummed the sun down for the solstice and I gazed at it for a good hour. I can see to type this. lol

Still looking when i can, its mid winter here and i can do it about three times a week, but it feels good.i go barefoot when i do it. something about the combination of feeling the earth and absorbing the sun that feels right.

still not eating red meat, this i am having trouble trying to justify. I used to eat it at least 5 times a week!
People ask why and i can't tell em because i don't rightly know.
I have however eaten fish and i did , because of the people i was staying with recentl,y eat some wallaby. This was not killed to be eaten but rather killed by accident and they don't like to waste anything that dies. so maybe its the fact of killing farmed animals that i am having trouble with. I don't know!! its just weird, but feels right.

I am eating less, not much, but i don't feel the need to. I feels like i do because that is what we do at certain times of the day. It is not uncommon if i am busy and alone to just not even think about it. If you know me you would know that this is not me. I am a foody and love food , but its importance has taken a back step.

My vision, not blind, no sore eyes, no headaches, no difference. my iris adjusts, and feels like it slowly opens as i look.

The sun is beautiful!!!

finding it interesting that The sun has come up a lot lately in forums, seems to be a pattern that we should be looking at it, in some capacity, to learn more, to notice changes etc.

The Conspiracy of the Sun feels more real on so many levels of late!

anyways, theres the update. If i go blind i will stop!

thanks for the input hadriana!

i think i am looking at it for about three minutes now, but feels like everytime i can go a bit longer!

I think quite a few A.T.S's do do this, i wonder if they will find this and give us some feedback...

hi again,

its been raining here for about three weeks, i haven't had a chance to gaze at the sun because of it and that i have been busy on top of that.

I said earlier that while gazing i didn't feel the need to eat meat, well i went around two and half months and ate it maybe three times...

but in the last three weeks i re-became a carnivore again. I don't know if it was the lack of sun gazing or my being busy but it happened and the correlation of not being able to look at the sun and eating meat again is pretty close.

like i said earlier i don't know why i had this stint of vegetarianism but it was when i gazed at the sun nearly everyday.

I will go back to it soon...springs coming down here!!!( and i am going to start a vegie garden!)
