I assume he's speaking of the players in the now primarily-defunct car industry here in the U.S.

I have seen extremly same situation. I think it was some report from Ukraine or Russia. one of opposition leaders was acting like crazy and talking like an idiot. and it has happened to hiw for the first time as was reported.

everyybody belived that he was given some drug with a drink or food to discredit him like this. It could be a case also here...

He seems pretty normal in this bit 3 days prior......

I think he is bashing the now soon to be Government Motors and the Sudden sharp rise in some banks for no apparent reason.

Wow, he either was on something realy powerful. Did anyone notice his eyes blinked way more often than usual or he snapped. I saw someone who's eyes looked like that stand up in an industry exam and start screaming about how we could all f ourselves.

Personally I'll play devils advocate for a second and assume the stress of trying to live with what is being done was making him start to snap, of course if it looked like he was about to spill the beans someone may have slipped him something to make him sound crazy so they could write it off.

I think somebody slipped a couple of drops something liquid and psychadelic in one of his drinks or something.

I think hes messing around but tying way to hard also.

Can't really put a finger on if he seriously is losing it or if it's one of those scenarios.

A dire lack of a sleep and the attempted remedy of caffeine? That would seem to follow an awakening of the sort projectvxn spoke of. He was doing the old blink-and-flex eyelid thing that we all seem to do when we've had too much coffee and not nearly enough sleep. That's my guess. I really doubt any more potent substance is at play.

Thanks for transcription. That is about what I thought he was saying, but I felt like I missed something in between. I agree that he is not insane...yet...but he is utterly confused, disgusted, and his incoherency is a reflection of his paradigm shift. His world views are warped at that very moment.

Those other "stuffed shirts" do seem a bit concerned, but I think they are just worried that he will drag them into the delusion. They have a well-scripted and rehearsed plan, but he has just thrown a monkey wrench in the fan.

The host really should have kept this going longer. If he was any type of decent journalist and his producer was on the ball, they could have used this guy to put everyone on the spot. They might have gotten everyone flustered enough to spill the beans. This could have been a Eureka moment, but the lame host just followed the prompter like everyone else. Where is Geraldo when you need him?!

Maybe Jerry Springer could get into politics this way, instead of trying to get elected. He could run his same old show, but with pundits, mouthpieces, and spin doctors. Grab this guy, or some other ringer to put everything into chaos and see what spills over into truth!

The man did not snap. He was not on any drug. He is just the only human one. Humans have emotions. The other 2 look emotionless. Seriously I would love to see the world from the eyes of someone who doesn't think before they speak again, it seems like the world is a lot easier for those types of people.

Him speaking garble makes more sense than the phoney economists that are attempting to make sense.

Good job. He risked a lot to make that point. Hope he is rewarded instead of abused over it.

my take on his "remarks" is that he wanted to say this is a bunch of Horse Manure. The market is artificial and not acting on the rules of supply and demand. How can any anylist predict an artificially maintained market?

Jeff is obviously not an idiot. He just has a problem about being "politically correct" aka lieing.

He seemed pretty lucid he just couldn't really articulate the nonsense that is taking place without catching heat so he kind of tip toed around it. Maybe I miss interpreted it but it seemed to me he was trying to point out what a ridiculous notion it is to take financial advice from the people who need bailouts or people who didn't see this coming he just didn't want to come out and directly say it.

Gotta agree with Dr. Love. His ramblings sounded paranoid delusional.
Don't know if he slipped off his meds, or if he needs someone to get him some.

Whoa. Twilight Zone. That guy is on something--or fell off something. He was talking like Robin Williams as Mork but making 1/10th the sense.

A talking head blows a fuse on-air. Droll. Last we'll be seeing of his shiny, confused pate.

Was he joking?

I could hear him laughing.

WOW

edited to say,

But I could relate, the world seems to have gone over the edge.

Macke is one of the most articulate personalities on CNBC. He and Dylan are very disillusioned and are probably banging their heads against the walls on a daily basis.

In this video, however, Macke seems a little "off". Either, he is having personal problems or he is just so pissed at the economic BS he is is having a hard time expressing himself. The entire dialog between the host and MAcke was unclea to me. It's like it they were discussing "inside" information or the listener was expected to know the back story. Anyway, I'm going to keep an eye on MAcke to see if he completely melts down.

Well He's on Fast Money right now.. I just flipped the channel as they were going to commercial and he's on, but I missed what he said.

I wouldn't say he flipped out, I just think he couldn't find the words to properly express what he wanted to say without angering his "bosses" so it ended up sounding like madman's rant.

He made perfect sense.

The markets are Irrational and are following no particular pattern that would be considered healthy nor normal..

In other words, a ton of money is hitting the markets, but pays no attention to normal market trends.

He dismisses the banks as "crazy" because the banks are insolvent, yet people are investing in them.. it's considered a "great buy"

(it looks like the same show that was going on BEFORE the collapse.. when Bush and Paulson stood infront of cameras every other day to tell us everything was just peachy.)

To me it looks like someone or something blew a gust of wind in his ear and cleared his mind. Thus the problem of trying to fathom and articulate the new world he has just seen.

Wow, I have been watching him for a long time, actually last night he seemed to be loosing it a little , i forget the subject, but I think he actually has gone off the deep end. Or maybe he has a new gig with his buddy Dylan and is trying to get fired so he is out of a contract.

Here he is last night where I saw him begin to unravel

really? you give this guy credit for saying all of those intelligent things that you wrote? you sum up what he had to say with very well thought out ideas. but this guy said nothing like that. and I quote " you're what happens when you're trying to talk to car people at like half an hour ago" wtf? and then he goes on to make a linguist's ears cringe when he says "90% of you does" . 90% of you do would be correct. reverse the word order in english to find the rule. example. do 90% of you ...? not does 90% of you? how do you equate your intelligent words with these things he is saying? that's like when a one year old says bih buh boo and it's mother says "look everyone! he just said i love you!" you being the mother in this case. seriously? mackey is whacky
