sea weeds and algea, and possible earth timult

it was david icke i think that talked about alien visions? And he was saying how in canada in the future stranded people survive off algea in ponds after earth was pummeled by eitheer natural or human changes.. Now if we kill off the sea weeds, my question is would that affect algea growth negatively? Just forward thinking again.

this somewhat falls into the prediction line..
