Despite gaping holes in President Bush's military service record, Republicans have unleashed vicious and deceptive attacks on Senator Kerry. In response, MoveOn PAC is airing a new ad that contrasts Kerry's courageous service in Vietnam -- which earned him three Purple Hearts -- with President Bush's early departure from the National Guard. Recently released documents show that while Kerry wrote "I request duty in Vietnam," Bush checked the box "do not volunteer for overseas." The ad concludes: "This election is about character. It's between John Kerry, who left no man behind and George W. Bush, who simply left."
