Hello everybody!

Firstly i do not see any updates anywhere on the incident/sighting neither on businessweek.com, nor anywhere else nor even in this thread, which springs a natural question in my poor mind:

Just how credible is Business Week?

I copied the aticle as I have a feeling it may get pulled before the MSM can run with it.

Nothing on MUFON, or Google as of now. I would think if all those people in the photo were calling and texting people, we would see something else by now. I will keep searching.

It's just a practice drill by the NWO. They wanted just a sampling of responses for when this happens for real.

fwiw:

Mark Sable is an American writer for stage, screen, and comic books.

www.google.com...

Not sure if it's the same Mark Sable that wrote the article for this "story" but just saying... anyway.

I won't be holding my breath waiting for a follow up or additional "coverage".

Looks like a spoofy hack.

It's listed on www.businessweek.com... but without an author.. either they made a really weird mistake (normally you log in and post a message, you won't have to enter your name), or it's hacked (I still prefer the correct term 'cracked' actually
).

In the article itself, it says the author is Mark Sable.. The only Mark Sable I've found so far is a comic book writer. Interesting.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

FYI, as you are reading the blog entry, take a look to the right in the about box, I wouldn't get all excited just yet.....

to help out here is the about text:

The media and marketing world continues to shapeshift on a near-daily basis, as new forms arise and old assumptions erode. Where is it all going? No one knows, least of all Media Columnist Jon Fine. But on this blog he promises ample helpings of scoop, provocation, sharp analysis and (we hope) wit as he tracks and annotates this constantly changing terrain

I am not hanging my hat on this piece

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

Maybe a little backwater town is trying to jack up tourism? Wont someone call their local sherrif's or police dept and find out if they even had a blackout, then we try to ascertain the more exotic details.

I called and the person that answered said she had not heard anything about this. She was on the verge of laughing.

I too was very excited to read this first, BUT....am loosing that feeling quickly as this does appear to be a fraud, heard something about MSN.com or some site getting the same treatment with a zombie spoof.

Strange, how 60 years ago people were scared to death of the thought of aliens landing (ref. Orson Wells spoof on radio, War of The Worlds) and today people are literally begging for them to land.

What's up with that?

P.S. I wonder how many of the people who have been abducted by aliens would like to have a repeat of it?

Called and spoke with 'Darla.' She hadn't heard anything about UFO, power outtage or anything in Webster. She was going to check into it though, so if anything is legit, it will hit MSM soon.

Remember guys...even if this is a fake...which it most likely is...its a good thing to get excited about the possibility. It means we`re open for that possibility.

Very suspicious. Despite 'hundreds of witnesses', Business Week's media blog is the story's only source?

The picture that accompanies the post contains no EXIF data - so we cannot be certain when it was taken. It does, however, contain a comment which is "Ducky." Is this a clue? The picture itself is not convincing either, the crowd appears to be completely calm.
