This isnt about getting to the bottom of the UFO issue here.

For once I agree with you. The 'issue here' is the credibility of the ANW and the validity of ATS authors using its articles as the main source of their post.

Your dishonest arguments are shining through-at the very worst I am wrong about the copywrite issue which is really neither arthur nor martha, the greek story was taken from ANW and re-published all over the place and ANW didnt complain............but you still havent explained your little ifeng fib.

I have no dog in this hunt, but it appears to me that stewart is just someone working for that company. These posts go well beyond a logical defense of the site. Bit too much "inside" info being cited for him to be just another user/viewer.

Website using people to post topics on forums and such for traffic is nothing new. And while they aren't easy to spot at first, over time their agenda becomes very clear.

The most mind blowing part of Stewarts posts is that everyone who disagrees with him is an "agent", and then he goes on and accuses people of not making intellectually honest arguments. /sigh

Well, the majority of the articles on "--" are by someone who calls himself, Michael Cohen. ([email protected])

oneworldpsychics.com...

Michael Cohen, the founder of One World Psychics, is undoubtedly one of Australia's leading psychics and his reputation is legendary. Michael has hundreds of regular clients including many well known politicians, economic leaders and celebrities.

We all know how accurate "psychics" are these days... Especially self proclaimed "legendary" psychics.

I don't know, something smells fishy to me.

Firstly I have already stated I won't be posting ANW articles here again.
I have also stated that while I am friends with the Guys at ANW I have no working relation with them.
Funnily my issue here is not really ANW. It is a fair few of the posters here and the way they destroy Ufology.
Look at the irritating Avatars of """Free spirit""" and Phage and the guy that claims he lives in Chengdu not to mention Chadwickus. Their whole purpose of being on such forums is to exert some power they lack in the real world................they flame, debunk, criticise, remind people to use the search feature and generally behave like 'forum-nazis'.
The end result is the complete degradation of the board as those that earnestly seek answers flee and the classic 'followers' and 'approval junkies' stay on and support their bullying ways.
I take comfort for being in the minority on this issue...the world is full of followers of bullies.

Hey stewartw2...I was sort of supporting you, if you read my last brief reply to you.
But jeez mate, you've gone right off the deep end.

Look, here's an article on today's front page of ANW:
Australia: Bigfoot spotted in bush near Sydney
www.--.com...
I live very close to where that siting supposedly took place & I've traipsed around the area for years.
It is totally absurd to suggest a bigfoot was seen there.
It's like Paramatta Road up there - you can't move for people out walking.
Furthermore there has been no mention in any media at all & no local discussion that I know of regarding this siting.
I don't think the article is very credible.
And then we get to the bunyip siting that's also on their front page......terrific stuff.......

.......And this list can go on and on and on. You might like to check your facts before posting-the Blue Mountains is prime Yowie country:

www.abc.net.au...

Reporter Paul Willis goes into the Blue Mountains near Sydney to meet Neil, a high school teacher who claims to have had several hundred encounters with a large bipedal ape like creature in the bush, and he’s not alone; many of his neighbours have seen it too. So far there is a distinct lack of scientific evidence that such a creature exists, Paul wants to find out just what’s going on?

bushapes.blogspot.com...

Prior to this trip to the Blue Mountains, we had received reports that a group of high school students had been scared out of their wits at midnight one evening when they were doing as high school students do, and "hanging out" together at a cul-de-sac adjoining the Blue Mountains National Park. We headed up to the area the following weekend and scouted the area.

www.cryptomundo.com...

Loren wrote about the April issue of Fortean Times in a previous entry here on Cryptomundo. One of the authors of an article in the Monster Hunters section of that issue, Mike Williams, weighs in with a guest blog for Cryptomundo.

In the April 2006 issue of Fortean Times I have co-written an article with Ruby Lang about yowies in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, Australia.

Since just prior to moving to the area myself, yowies have been something of a passion of mine - reports of man beasts roaming the Australian wilderness certainly seemed deserved of first-hand attention.

I know, I know....I've seen those stories & read a lot about the old yowie thing, as written about by Loren, Rex, etc...
I've even read about the pygmies in the Blue Gum Forest.
I think it's all BS.
I've even put ANW into my favourites so I can look at it more often & that's all your fault!
But, I expect I will read mostly silly stuff.

BTW - I just re-read your post. Are you saying that you've moved into the Blue Mountains to study yowies?

That last bit was just another cut and paste and doesnt refer to me-(mind you I am pretty familiar with the Blue Mountains). I am personally not convinced about Yowies either as it happens. However within the boundaries of Cryptozoology ANW wasnt off the mark with the story-I think we can agree on that.

No - I don't think I can agree with the bigfoot story at all.
But if I do ever see one up here, I'll be sure to let you know.
Now back to All News Web....
Let's see....

To be fair....every site, this one included, has hoaxes and BS stories popping up quite frequently.
You have to sift through them to find any little nuggets of truth.
All the site rehash the same stories and you can guarantee that if it's on ATS, it will be on ANW, GLP, OM, and any other forums too.

So true and a lot of people who post on ATS post on those other forums. It's only natural for similar topics to pop up.

So.. uh.. not to stray off topic here. Just curious what the word around Chengdu is regarding the supposed UFO crash.

No one's talking about it because no one has heard about it. There are at least four individuals in Chengdu who are either active members on ATS, or lurk. We meet once a week to discuss alternate topics such as on ATS. And contrary to the rather conspicuous rants of stewartw2, we are all more than willing to support the ET hypothesis. We are not debunkers. Though as many of us know, that accusation is always whipped out when a UFO zealot is forced to back into his corner. Or in this case, shown to have a rather uxorious-like devotion to a questionable website.

BTW you refer to the Greek translation as an 'example' of plagiarism on behalf of the ANW site.....what other expamples do you have? Or are you seriously exaggerating to the point of defaming to further the agenda you seem to have against ANW???

badmedia,

I agree you. I suspect the reason for the appearance of so many ANW links from ATS, is due to deliberate link farming, which of course is a very dishonest thing to be doing, as it only benefits ANW in terms of Google PageRank.

A higher PageRank translates to not only more traffic, but higher quality traffic. In other words: $$$

I think ATS should seriously consider investigating a possible conflict of interests between certain ATS members and ANW.
