Hey Symmetric, have you ever read the Bhagavad Gita? I think you would really like it a lot. It makes many apparent abuses of language that would probably turn you on, in the deep inner truths they expose in plain words.

Anyway it is on par with the most enlightening spiritual texts in existence, you should check out a copy at your book store (definitely worth owning a copy) or there is a link in my signature to an online version.

Pay heed to what Hunka just said. Release this Egocentric view of the world. You may have already, but for those of you that might not have / dont knwo what im talking about. Start thinking about your actions and thoughts. Why do you think the way you do? Cultural conditioning? Why do you think certain outfits look good?

Question everything.

im just saying you can have 2 views. Firstly, let just say, The Universe Exists. Those that try to argue we are in an illusion, just stop. Where we are or not, we are all in it, so for all purposes, this world exists end of.

Right, you can either say something caused the Universe, or the Universe just IS. Just as the thing that could have caused the universe just is.

Neither is right or wrong.

What you aren't getting is that everything is also a matter of perspective.

To logic, everything has a reason. To imagination, everything has a color, a taste, and a vague feel. To other perspectives, everything just is, and it is both nonsensical and the definition of logical at the same time, and this truth is both hilarious and deeply saddening. But of all these things, they are all equally justified because everything is perspective and consciousness. From the union of logic and divine creative expression come the beautifully balanced forms of the universe that manifest themselves in so many creative and multitudes of ways, and yet, yes, all adhere to coherent form if you look deeply enough. But it is also all creative, arbitrary nonsense, and only what we choose to make of it.

No.

Exactly.

And the world WAS flat for several hundred years. Don't believe me? Go ask the people who were alive back then.

I wasn't there, though. Or, at least I'm not there now...

I was just thinking, there is no such thing as space after all, anyway.

Only in europe did they believe in the world was flat. Other cultures seemed to have other ideas, like ours today, lol.

What i think you are all getting at but not saying is the true nature of knowledge.

Sure but I was suggesting that our understanding today is no more complete. Just because we now associate different shapes with things and call them by different names does not mean we understand their fundamental nature any better. We break the atom down into smaller parts and give them even more names, but in the end we still theorize about even smaller particles or forces, ad infinitum, because this form of knowledge does not ultimately lead us to any great self-realization.

very correct

And why is it we ask? because that is the nature of the beast

The question you and I both ask is the very thing you are inside

Symmerty : )

I completely and utterly disagree. We may not know the building blocks of the Universe yet, and it is all theory. But you go back 400 years and see if they had painkillers for childbirth etc.

Silly statement to be honest. We are just finding more to learn about as we progress.

we never will, Yes we can search for them

But why? why is it you seek to understand everything? can not cope with just being what you are?

You see we have many paths many questions

what one is important to some is not important to others, what question do you ask?

the question i ask is in fact why am i asking i find this interesting but humbling at the same time.

you can not know everything if you did .. then you would not be the one asking the very question

The reason why we all ask different questions is because we all live different lives. We all have difference experiences, perceptions and influences. That is why. Not because I am a unique expression of IT.

Thanks

Well now they put fluoride in the water, supposedly to prevent cavities, but really it doesn't, it's a neurotoxin and it has all kinds of well-known and debilitating side-effects. Which is why it is banned in China and lots of European countries. One effect is calcification of your pineal gland, another is lowering your IQ.

I am not saying we aren't learning new things as we go along, I'm just saying there is no need for so much cultural arrogance and thinking today is such a great age, when really it has just as many (if not more) personal challenges for the individual of society to deal with. More toxins in our food, many medicines are ineffective and dangerous compared to more natural remedies, the media is at least just as hateful and mindless as ever, people are driven to do many mindless things on a daily basis and many people are so materialistic and self-centered they have next to no sense of spirituality whatsoever. Many people are more blessed in this age, but many are also much more cursed.

Like goes to like; this is simply an age of expanded possibilities and experiential novelty. Nothing "better" than 400 years ago. "Good" and "bad" are lies anyway. There are no such things.

I have always said this. You make your own reality. I know a few very negative people. They truely make their realities. They are miserable and bad things happen to them. I try to look at the positive and usually I get good things. It works.

Yes kind of true, but it could also be the other way around too they are miserable because bad things happen, your positive because good things happen.

I think some people truly have bad luck all their lives even with a positive attitude, it's like it's a test or something.

Or maybe they just "appear" positive, hmmm.

Right, yes there are chemicals everywhere in today's society, but that is because "they" WANT you to die. Not only die but suffer as well. If we did not suffer before we died, there would be a lot of doctors and nurses out of jobs. Lots of pharmaceutical companies out of pocket etc.

Please look up Calcium Vs Cancer. Acidity vs Alkaline Diet. Cancer is PROMOTED throughout Western civilisation.

You say good and evil do not exist. I disagree. I understand that Good and Evil as objective concepts do not exist since everything is subjective. However, as a subjective concept good and evil do exist. Thats all that matters.

We do create our own realities. I dont see how this is anything new? Think about it, when you are born you have no understanding of what you are, what there is, where this is etc. Therefore, what you understand about the world is merely an attempt by your own brain / you to figure out who you are, where you are and what you are etc. Hard? No...

When it comes to people being negative and so on, yes they create what they deem to be an unfair life. Life is life, just deal with it. Dont live in the past or the future, live in the Now. Everything is about perception. Think about that one. Mull it over. "im too tired" no you think you are too tired. (in most cases, not cases like extreme dehydration
)

Perception example. Man in a horrific car crash is paralysed, perception of his current situation could either be: OH MY GOD, my life is over, im never going to be able to play in the park with my children, take them on their first bike ride. OR THANK GOD, i still get to see my children, I can be there when they take their stabilizers off!

Thanks!
