Origin of Terrorism?

Many of us are discussing terrorism now a days especially with all the attacks going on around the world. But where does terrorism come from? Where did it origniate and/or, who/what was the 1st major terrorist event recorded?

Any clues guys?

I dont think you can pin-point the first terror attack. Terrorism is terrorising a population... so the barbarians who ransacked rome would have been terrorists, the revolutionaries in france would have been terrorists... there is no pin-pointing the exact time it started...

oh i know!!! the first act of terrorism was when someone told people that there was an afterlife, they terrorised the people into doing things a certain way to avoid a horrible eternal faith

Terrorism dates back to the dawn of man.

It probably goes back to the days of the cavemen. Fear is a formidable weapon and it is also the most easily wielded.
I would think that ever since 2 people have been able to band together to oppose the norm, terrorism has existed.

Terrorism originated from the word terror, and everyone that brings terror to someone is a terrorist. In this case The weaker ones are declared terrorists (evil) and the stronger ones are claimed to be on the right side (good)!
