Getting sick

Getting sick of these Canadian 'checkpoints'. It's ridiculous. Feels like Nazi Germany. I'm sick of these people infringing on everybody's rights up here and stopping everybody and their dog for no reason. I'm thinking of getting some people together, drinking rootbeer from a bottle, and just acting hammered when this happens, and say no we haven't been drinking. and see how much unlawful acts they do. at the end i'll give them a nazi salute, because that's what this country feels like now.

They will arrest you for obstruction if you do that.

This is Canada, the RCMP doesn't put up with that kind of crap believe it or not. Much less the OPP.

Anyway, I know it can get frustrating, but there are simply ways to get around such things, like asking over and over "Am I under arrest officer?"

"Can I leave Officer?"

And multiple other ones along the same lines, will save you alot of trouble. Because remember, the police are here to put us in jail, not help us .

what brought me to a boiling point, was last weekend, at about 8 PM I was walking down the street with my girlfriend, just minding my own business. I live in a little town of about 100-200 people.. And for whatever reason they were doing a checkthing they, I wasn't too surprised or whatever, I see them all over, but the guy had the nerve to ask what me and my girlfriend were doing at 8PM walking down the street holding hands? That really bothered me.

He was probably looking for trouble, if you had lipped off to him he would have tasered you and arrested your girlfriend for prostitution.

That's how low the standards for police officers has come down to, they're hiring sadists and bullies to run the show now.

You should file a police complaint if it PO'd you off bad enough.

I was stopped and questioned once while drinking an old fashion rootbeer from a bottle while driving. It was a bit hilarious when I showed the cop the label, and he still asked to smell the bottle.

I haven't seen any checkpoints. What city are you in? Are you saying they have checkpoints in a town of 200 people?

I have to admit I haven't seen nor heard anything like this going on.
