Professor sought after 3 shot dead near UGA

(CNN) -- Police are looking for a University of Georgia professor in the shooting deaths of three people on Saturday, authorities tell CNN.

Sonny Wilson, Athens-Clarke County coroner, confirmed three people were dead, but couldn't provide identities.

UGA is in Athens, but university spokesman Pete Konenkamp said the shootings did not happen on campus.

Information about the shooting was disseminated through a campus-wide alert, which identified professor George Zinkhan as a shooting suspect.

Yet another seemingly random act of violence. I realize this is a tragedy and I truly feel for those affected by it. However, I wonder how long it will take the MSM to scare more people into crucifying those who bear arms.

It seems we've heard more and more stories from MSM about gun violence. I don't know any more details about what happened other than what's in the article. However, it seems every shooting tragedy is tops in the news lately.

What are your thoughts?

It certainly does seem that the media is hyping these stories a lot more than need be. I've been thinking since this whole spate of shootings began that this could very well be a grandiose propaganda campaign. I feel sorry for the victims but guns didn't kill them, psychos (or possibly brainwashed assassins, if my theory is correct...hey, i can theorize can't I? ) did. That is a very important distinction to make, don't let the media think for you.
