Swine Flu symptoms are now being reported throughout New Zealand from Auckland to Otago, and the Government says it is treating the scare as if it's the real thing.
3 News has been told that a number of Air New Zealand crew now have symptoms, and health officials have tracked down two thirds of the passengers on Saturday's NZ1 flight, which carried the students from Auckland's Rangitoto College who first showed symptoms.
All due respect, that wasn't the flu. Flu knocks you out for 2 weeks at the least, you had a bad cold/virus. not influenza. Which is what most people think they've got when they get ill. I'm 31 and I know I've never had the flu, I've been sick for a week or so at a time, but I've never had the flu. Itr's far worse than "I felt a bit rough for a few days then was fine" That wasn't the flu. not in a million years.

Australian Government moves into next phase of protection against swine flu
www.news.com.au...
ALL flights into Australia from North or South America will have to report any passengers with flu-like symptoms before the aircraft is allowed to land.
Responding to the swine flu outbreak, Federal Health Minister Nicola Roxon announced today that the Government was moving immediately to the "next phase of protection" against the disease.
"We have now made the decision on the advice of the chief medical officer that we should introduce the next phase of protections, that is introducing at our borders arrangements for all
flights that are coming in from the Americas and landing here in Australia," Ms Roxon said.
