You know what the real question is here?
Why do it NOW? What is the point of releasing the virus at this stage and what is it a distraction for?
Dont close the eyes on the back of your head.
Sorry to pick on you, but would people lay off the crazy sauce for this thread? There are plenty of other threads all linking this virus outbreak to the NWO, Martial Law, FEMA Death Camps, Ethnic cleansing, genocide... blah blah blah.
There is NO EVIDENCE FOR ANY OF IT!
None.
This is a virus, it is mutating, it isn't shown to be "manufactured" or "created", there's no evidence that it was "released" or accidentally escaped from a "top secret government lab".
Please, I'd love to see just one thread on here about this valid and relevant subject without the stupidly wild conspiracies invading it. There's enough of that already, please just go to one of the many other threads that link this outbreak to whatever little fantasy scenario you've conveniently hooked it up to.
you do realize what website your on right?
Touche, you got him beat there. This is the place of conspiracies. Anyways- Do you guys think it is slowing down in Mexico? I think it is, supposedly the 1300 infected people have been given a clean bill of health and the official death report is only at 86. I think it is losing steam, at least there. Opinions?

Just read this and we can figure a percent from it;
Mexico City - The number of dead in Mexico's flu epidemic rose to 103, Mexican Health Minister Jose Angel Cordova Villalobos said late Sunday in a television interview without specifying how many among them had died of swine flu. "It is 1,614 cases and 103 deaths," Cordova Villalobos told the television channel Televisa.
That works out to just over a 6% death rate. A very ugly number, I hate to say we are due to see a death here shortly. This really sucks. Let us hope our early detection and action spares our brothers from this fate.
Will those N95 masks be sufficient for protecting from this virus or would a higher calibre gas mask be necessary?

Now if you use that estimated mortality rating and input it into a general pandemic situation (pure speculation here on out, because there are no assurances this will go away and no evidence yet that says this will become pandemic), infecting approximately 15percent of the population. Around 1 billion people, we would be looking at 58 million dead. That is the worst possible scenario right now with the numbers we have. Lets just hope it doesn't mutate further because of all of this spreading.
Edit:

According to the research I have done on those masks, supposedly you have a decent chance of avoiding catching the virus but I would still go with N100 if you can afford it, just to be safe. (Considering your main use would be travel to some place not all the time use)
