AIPAC, NSA Spying and the Corruption of Congress

dissidentvoice.org

A major scandal involving a top Democrat, the Israeli lobby-shop AIPAC and charges that former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales sought congressional help to suppress media reports of systematic, illegal warrantless surveillance of Americans by the National Security Agency (NSA) broke on Sunday.

Congressional Quarterly revealed that Rep. Jane Harman (D-CA) “was overheard on an NSA wiretap telling a suspected Israeli agent that she would lobby the Justice Department [to] reduce espionageespionage-related charges against two officials of the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee, the most powerful pro-Israel organization in Washington.”

The former ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, Harman is the co-sponsor of the shameful “Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act” (H.R.1955) and its mutant relative in the Senate (S.1959). In other words, Harman’s “liberal” veneer is the perfect cover for currying favor with politically well-connected corporate grifters, major beneficiaries of the national security state’s largesse.

Govenments never work for their people. They work against us. We must stand against all of those tyrants, who pose as our leaders. They spy on innocent & harmless people, on a daily basis. We must unite against our common foes.

Don't let them have control over you or your loved-ones, at any time. They're not our bosses, and we're never going to be their servants.

Bit of a strange one this.
On the one hand, the likes of Jane Harman think warrantless wiretapping is ok when directed against others but cries foul when she is the target. Then take into account her apparent subservience and cooperation with a foreign power, using her political influence to derail espionage charges against two officials of a representative body of that foreign power, and what you have is, at the very least, a compromised political figure.
What makes it worse is that she is privy to intelligence and national security information likely useful to that foreign power.
Doesn't that make her a traitor, just as much as the two AIPAC lobbyists she is trying to get off the hook?

That is the real scandal here. It's not just about the two AIPAC spys anymore, it now encompasses those in the government who are doing their utmost to derail the investigation of those charges. Of course, AIPAC (and the ADL) will also play the anti-semitic namecalling game too to try and derail things.

WHY DOES THE ISRAEL LOBBY CARE IF THE NSA WIRETAPS AMERICANS?!?!?!?!?!

That is the question we need to ask here!

Why would a foreign government lobby the American congress to let the American National Security Agency spy on Americans?

We know why Alberto did it, his bosses told him to.

But what is israel gaining by an American spy agency spying on Americans?!?!

Thanks for sharing truth. The world-government controls those meat-puppets in the white house, "royal palaces", and other foreign-facilities, which are occupied by their cronies, who pose as "world-leaders".

I know what you mean. The tyrants in government claim that others are racists, but we know the government is following the same guidelines as Adolf Hitler. The tribe of Yahudah is Arab.

The government has been stealing from Semites/Arabs, and depopulating those peoples' countries for decades.

If you think it through, you'll find out that everything is related to greed. Whether it is common or personal greed, whether it is greed for power or financial greed. It's sad, but that's the way human beings are. To some extent we all are, some more than others.

Great find, I had not seen this one!

It deserves it's own thread if it doesn't already have one!
