Why do people who have to believe in some Great Sky Fairy or other (picking one out of the multitude) require other people to believe in SOMETHING? And they never define "believe", they just get stressed when we refuse to comply.

BTW, I lied earlier, I'm not a heathen, I don't believe in all gods equally. I am, however, a barbarian.

The brain evolves from when your a baby to full grown, the body evolves from a baby to adulthood, relationships evolve(if they're meant to be they last, if not they fail), nations evolve, reach a peak, then fall apart.

Even your spiritual walk with God evolves, you start off on milk then get to meat.

I see it everywhere, I see it as an intelligently designed system of growth integrated into all things.

Why can't we all just get along?

Because getting along is so much less fun. It would be kind of boring if we didnt bicker with each other.

"Why can't we all just get along? "

Probably because we're not intelligently designed.

Why didn't you invite me, there? I could have brought some beer or candy for you & the girls. What the hell kind of friend are you?

"Intelligently Designed" Another man-made term. It could mean, we were either designed by extra-terrestrials, angels, or gods.
Sounds like scientology mixed with other heathenish beliefs.

Well, you're all over the board. And I'm here to state what's quite obvious: I'm a real person, who doesn't believe in false-doctrine or follow the teachings of religious-leaders in various churches/temples.

I've never doubted for one second that you are a real person. At least that's one thing we can agree on.

If you don't believe in "false doctrine" or "follow the teachings of religious leaders" then, doesn't that make you a heathen by default? As far as I can remember, a heathen is a person that does not acknowledge religion or religious teachings.

I don't have to be religious to agree with "creationists" or "evolutionists". I agree with anyone, who tells the truth & nothing but the truth (you don't find that in either of those religious-sects).

Quite true, you don't have to be religious to agree with either creationists or evolutionists. But I am quite curious as to what you consider to be the "truth" and how that correlates to evolution.

My apologies. Next time I plan the trip I will u2u an invite your way. Anna Nicole Smith was there and she was skinny and smart, but her boobs were even bigger. Maybe I can pass her phone number to you. That girl knows how to party like rock star!

What the....

For one, I believe in evolution, two....i couldnt give a flying *snip* what you believe in. The problem I have is when someone regardless of their point of view, generalises the opposing party as a whole.

Like I said, I will believe in what I want and you believe in what you want.

Obviously the statement "deny ignorance" is lost on, otherwise you might have realised how self righteous your opening post is

That's because you're religious. You follow the teachings of heathens. They're religious leaders & followers of idols (male & female). Adolf Hitler was just as religious as any other heathen, who believed in racist false-doctrine.

I don't care what you believe. I care about the truth, and I'll never stop pushing it above & beyond your imagination.

quit a few have asked, but there has been no answer: what exactly is this truth the OP speaks of? once this "truth" is defined, the rest of us can offer a more earnest debate instead of knee-jerk reactions.

(which i had, 'cause that heathen comment sort of weirds me out).

Religion- Right
Evolution- Wrong.

So we should just take that at fact, or face value? It's pointless.

If you want to believe in a man from 2,000 years ago (before cell phones, cars, internet, belief in a heliocentric earth, sea monsters, etc) who was born from a virgin, talks about men living in big fishes, well thats fine.

Your compelling need to insult others, who have reasoned their way to their own beliefs, is ignorant.

Evolution is not final, it is still theory, hence the Theory of Evolution. By trying to disprove it, you cannot assume "AHah, I found a flaw in evolution, ergo A giant majestical being who is invisible and all powerful sent...... you know the story." The bible is flawed too buddy.

Oh boy, i'll get flamed but it's whatever.

I'm sick and tired of being attacked for something I "Don't" believe in.

The truth is not worth debating. Find someone, who wants to debate, and waste your life with that individual or religious-group.

You know... I really, REALLY, wish that if people want to debunk or debase evolution - they would at least get some new material. There is not a single point in the OP that hasn't been shown to be either demonstrably wrong or based off misconceptions that any high-school biology student should be able to easily deflate.

For example:

You have to understand that no genetic information is ever added in any case of Microevolution. Genetic information is constantly being lost, not gained!

The writer of this article obviously has no concept of well established and observed trends in DNA transcription. For instance, going with the theme of "losing information" (whatever information may be), say you have a deletion of several base pairs in a strand of DNA within a Gamete cell. The space in which the base pairs are lost is not left empty - however the coding frame (codon) may not have changed.

So say you have a strand of DNA that looks like this:

-------1----2----3----4---------
CGA||CTC|CTG|ATA|ATG||TAG|

The breaks represent the codons. The area between the double-breaks represents a GENE which codes for a trait. Now, say there is an error in the transcription and a portion of this is lost - G|AT, from codon regions 2 & 3. The code now looks like:

-------1----2----3----4--------
CGA||CTC|CTA|ATG|TAG||AAG

This is called a Frame Shift. The new and unique combination of genetic information within this GENE is usually always deleterious. Sometimes, just sometimes, this can change the function of the GENE to provide a beneficial mutation. Beneficial mutations which are an advantage to (or at least do not hinder) an organisms reproductive success will be more likely to be passed on.

This re-arrangement of information can only truly be considered "New" information not already present before the mutation. Of course, in the real world, DNA is not just subject to deletion. It's subject to substitution, translocation, and duplication as well.

And keep in mind this is just a simple explanation for what is apparently a simple mind. If you care to learn more, you might want to give this site a look over.

Mutations

"Religion - right"? I don't support your religion (or abstract ideas about religion). If you think all "christians" follow catholic-doctrine or believe that the earth is only 2,000 years-old, then that's your problem.

Man-made religion & abstract ideas like yours are confusing because they're made to be so. I accept the truth about life, not "religious views".

The origin of truth is the source of all things. Religion is not that source.

Im not religious at all

Im an atheist, church doesnt interest me at all, neither does any religion, (apart from buddhism which isnt really a religion).

Your post is just pure ignorance. I might not follow the teachings of religion, but i dont automatically assume that everything they follow is BS

"Man-made religion & abstract ideas like yours are confusing because they're made to be so."

They are confusing because they don't require a magical being to create the universe, that requires that you, a meatsack like me, fall down and worship it just because. That does confuse some people.

i realize you will have an answer to my comment, as you do for all others who have questioned your brash behavior, but i will say this:

the truth is relative.

we as humans have only finite capabilities of perception. how can we then claim to know any TOTAL truth?

what is there not to debate?

alas... you hold fast to whatever truth it is that you believe in (and still have not elucidated), hurling insults to whomever differs. i have tried to hold honest discourse with your sort before. you are right... there is no room for debate with your kind.

good luck, and back off the heathens. or whatever happened to that whole casting stones thing that JC fellow talked about?

Yes, you are religious. You're a follower of heathens. You've adopted their beliefs.
Accept the truth. It's easier than swallowing water.

Hey genius. We might accept the truth if you would ever tell us what it is. I am going to start a new thread called:
