any expience with this?

I live with my brother in law and sister.I do not answer the phone.If thier here they answer,if thier not the answering machine gets it.Lately someone or some company has been calling and playing a recording.It starts right off with if your not *me do not listen to this recording so they hangup.I would think if whoever it is wanted to talk to me they would call and ask for me without the recording bit.I told my brother in law and sister to just hangup as it seems to me they really don't wish to talk to me anyway.Has anyone else been subjected to this kind of crap?

Have you been living in a cave for 10 years? Telemarketers are what they are called my friend. And the reason it's a recording is because they can't be held liable for charges or false information if it was a machine who was speaking instead of a person.

These are the types of things where you answer the phone, they say hey you won a prize, press 1, and then they bill you 900 dollars on your phone bill.

Everybody gets harassed like this, just ignore them.
