Amazing octopus UFO filmed by child in Brazil, video

I hate videos like this. The "ufo" was not visible for three fourths of the video and it should have been edited down to about a minute and a half. I am not convinced by this video.

I dont think there will ever be a video that will convince you people...


You obviously will reject anything other then first hand experience.

I felt the need to QUOTE this incase some people do get carried away thinking "Oh my gawd, ALIENS!"

Never just stop and assume, instead, stop and think about the situation. One thing about all these genuine UFO videos...you think they'd appear somewhere more mainstream instead of youtube or this website, meh?

Oh, even though I starred and flagged this topic, I don't think it's an alien craft. I just think people need to see more of these videos and actually dissect them, instead of assume assume and assume aliens.

I'm not here to debunk anything and I dont expect anyone will believe me either.

I have a Family member who worked at Area 51. He knows all about Aliens and UFO's.

I'm very concerned that many believe these aliens are good. From what I know, which isnt a lot is they are extremely bad.

None are good.

They also wont be seen unless they want to be seen. (The Flying Object) not the alien.

I dont claim to know it all but just thought I would give you a warning. This is not based on my personal opinion but that of an expert.

And no I havent been watching too much TV.

It MUST be a UFO because it's being presented on a UFO thread on a website specializing in conspiracy theories. Now why this particular "UFO" decided to hover above a yard full of screaming kids we'll probably never know. But my guess - and remember this is only a guess - is that the kids - and yes, even the mother knew the people flying this balloon. The kids were getting a kick out of it. And the mother would certainly want to stick to her "testimony" since she is the one who is trying to pull off this hoax. It seems as if the only ones who believe this to be a UFO are everybody living outside the borders of Brazil. It's already been debunked where it took place but the "tentacles" and "shapeshifting" seem to be more than alot of us can handle outside the borders of Brazil. I think that hollywood and it's special effects artists have widened the imaginations of alot of people.

It would be more interesting, but I can be convinced (as far as I can be convinced of anything) by a video, but not just any video.

I do not have a prepared answer for all videos, I look at them and I try to see if I can understand what I see, but if I cannot then I say it (it has happened before), I have no problem with that.

Some people on here make me laugh. Now i dont have the foggiest idea what that thing in the video is, but i dont go around saying that aliens would behave like this or behave like that etc. Why? Because i dont know. And neither does anyone else. The usual suspects do their debunking efforts but i cant honestly see anything wrong with the video. Looks good to me.

One other thing. I just noticed after looking at the picture of the closeup of the "UFO" that ArMaP posted just a few posts before this one, that if you look just below the left corner of the arrow where you start to play the video you can see the counterweight which appears dark and circular. This is not a UFO.

I'm inclined to think it was a balloon because you can see the basket in the still image of the video posted further up on this page.

I looked at the video, and right away I thought balloon based on the lower portion of the alleged UFO, it was after all balloon shaped with an inverted apex where strings can be attached.

When the video started to produce the spikes, that wasn't very convincing of a UFO for me, rather made me even more suspicious of it being a balloon.

Now that I have caught up on the thread and seen the other research into the balloon hypothesis, I have to agree. It is more likely a balloon then anything else.

I have seen UFO balloons before and obviously they discredit UFO research and investigations.

I believe in aliens and UFO's but this isn't something that furthers my belief, rather makes me sigh at the knowing that there are a lot of balloon UFO hoaxes that we must also contend with.

Keep watching the skies, they are out there... just not in this vid.

If you want to deny the evidence presented, that's one thing. But there's no need to throw temper tantrums and make post after post the we are all denying that the video shows a real alien craft.

I have seen one really spectacular UFO in my life and it had octopus like tentacles but the tentacles were electrical like things...almost like lightening (no, it was definitely not fireworks) and seemed to zap at the ends. This was in 1971 and it was in a large city in sort of near the Caspian sea, that's all I can tell you, but that's one reason this particular video is so interesting to me.

I have no idea what I saw but it was huge and traversed rather slowly the span of about 20 miles over the city then disappeared behind the mountains to the south.

I can't agree more, it's nice to believe and want to believe but really scrutinize the claims because so many hoaxes and frauds are out there.

Disinformation ruins legitimate UFO research. We don't need any more hoaxes to distract from valid research.

I think the vid is real but I agree with BoneZ, this is a balloon shaped like a jesters hat. I would not totally rule out that this is an alien craft but we must look at this in terms of the balance of probability.

The greatest probability is that it is a balloon - it behaves and looks like a balloon.

Most definetely the best UFO footage I have seen. I can't see a balloon doing this, or a plane or a blimp. I'm not calling it outworldly or ET, but it is certainly not mundane. I cannot understand either the purpose of this thing if it's human made.

This is a genuine mystery to me and this is why I love ATS.

Another ufo video where the object spends more time off camera than it does on. Doesn't anybody know how to hold a camera steady and focused? Basically this is worthless footage from an investigative standpoint.
