President Obama is the first White President of the United States with a black Dad. His Mom is white and his Dad is an African - and without releasing a real birth certificate, an argument could be made that he is the first white president to be born in Africa??? Barry Sorento = Barack Obama

Hey there. In south Africa they refer to this as being coloured.
Dont think this as derogatory, its actually a term they use to distinguish themselves for being not Black or White; but a mixture of both.
There culture as more similar to White folks though. But still separate from whites and blacks. However, I suppose there are many situations between and betwixt this also.

Discussions start of somewhere and sometimes end on a totally different tangent, thats what I like about this forum; given me many different perspectives!

Amazing. If thats not setting young childern up to ask the question of race, what is? Pre-conditioning whilst young- ensures there will be no solidarity between a multi-cultural community at large; the governments want to keep any chance of coup. or revolution.

I second your motion.........this is garbage. it has no socially redeeming values. Obama could be green with red stripes but he is still the President of the United States of America and the chosen representative of the American people no matter what color they are.

Interesting how Obama: First "black" president, and Rudd: First prime minister to submit to Aboriginal reconciliation in Australia, where only "Elected" months apart from each other.

Well, Obama has been in the spotlight for the past 2 years, more now then ever since he was elected. this point will keep coming up again and again, and again, its redundant. all im stating its trash(this thread), and shouldn't be on ATS, maybe BTS, not here at least... its been covered long enough...

yeah fantastic. i know about the search thread thanks a lot. If all I wanted to do was read, I'd undoubtedly pick-up a good book.
