"The taste buds taste sweet, but there's no calorie load that comes with it. There's a mismatch here. It seems it changes your brain chemistry in some way," Savard said. "Anything you put in your mouth, your body has a strong reaction to it. It's much more than counting calories. It seems normally with sweet foods that we rev up our metabolism."
Savard said another recent study, which included more than 18,000 people, found healthy adults who consumed one diet drink a day could increase their risk of health problems and metabolic disorders by a whooping 30 to 40 percent.

This is unquestionably THE most important subject there is. EVERYTHING else, all the conspiracies, all the international banking stuff that controls government-politics (as we know it), is subordinate, ancillary, beside the central issue. It's not so much the population explosion itself (since 1938, when human population was only 2 billion), but the population IN TANDEM with industry AS WE KNOW IT. Something has to be done! And the duty of civilized enough people is to figure out the most civilized, (truly) intelligent and benevolent possible way to solve the problem. We need to begin the process by having truly open, uncensored dialog about the problem; not secretive government(s) calling the shots!!!!!!

I appreciate a lot of the information in this thread. I do.
But I do not appreciate these people equating paganism with the desire to kill people or genetically modify food. I don't know wtf this guy is in his interpretation of pantheism and paganism, but he's just dead wrong.
As a pagan, I find these films just out and out bigoted and totally scapegoating and WRONG. If they'd left the religious attacks out of these films, they might be worth considering.

i don't think population reduction is a bad thing ... but going from what 6 billion? to 500 million is kind of drastic ...

You are absolutely right.
I grew up on a farm. We raised cows, sheep, corn, tomatos and wheat.
Now, none of the above mentioned items taste anywhere near what I remember eating while growing up.
So much is going on all over our planet and so many people choose to remain asleep.
