Report: Israel Preparing Assault on Iran's Nuclear Sites

The Israeli military is preparing itself to launch a massive aerial assault on Iran's nuclear facilities within days of being given the go-ahead by its new government, the Times of London reported.

Among the steps taken to ready Israeli forces for what would be a risky raid requiring pinpoint aerial strikes are the acquisition of three Airborne Warning and Control (AWAC) aircraft and regional missions to simulate the attack.

I'm a little concerned with this report. Many on this site have been speaking of this for son long, and now it may actually come to fruition.

While I am a fan of Israel, and agree that is their right to defend themselves against aggressors, I don"t necessarily agree this is the right time to launch an offensive attack.

May I ask you... If your enemy moved into your back yard, won the lottery so they were able to afford bigger guns then you. Then after all their friends showed up and started bullying you on your own property, what would you do?

Furthermore, when you could take no more, you asked them to leave, which they refused. Then they started a preemptive war with you to push you further out of your own yard, and garner international support for the deed, what would you do then?

Then they began systematically killing your family members with vicious attacks in response to rock throwing, which killed a number of your family members, then what would you do?

What if they went even further and imprisoned 1.5 million of your cultural family in a make-shift prison camp where they monitored your travels, restricted your food and medicine to the point where all you could do was fight back with cheap endeavors, what would you do?

There has to be a point where the world puts themselves into the shoes of palestinian actions.

If they do, it's not like anyone with any sense couldn't see this coming.

Iran, by funding Hizballah, threatening the government of Israel, thumbing their noses at the UN, are actually begging for an attack.

I'll be very interested to see what new wrinkle the Israelis throw into the mix this time.

Each time they have a conflict, they shock the **** out of everyone - friend and foe alike.

Did anyone else note that Russia is buying RPV's? Specifically Israeli RPV's?

Interesting. And it just so happens that the Russians sold Iran their new S-300 systems that the Iranians are relying on to keep Israeli planes out. We know that Russia did not export their own front-line system.

Israel? Russia? The same Russia that just got paid?

Let's make a deal?

What I want to know is how much longer they are going to be preparing?

Seems like every month this same issue keeps getting recycled.

Sometimes I wonder if somebody is just changing the date on the same article.

I was saying it wasn't the right time to launch an offensive more in the context of the the global economic crisis.

What happens if the offensive expands? Who has the financial ability to support either side?

I agree Israel should do something, in fact, it is my opinion something should have been done long ago.
