Does anyone know if this is true? Come to think of it, the 60's were very discriminating times and Barney Hill was not nearly as talked about as Betty Hill...

It sounds very interesting.

Barney Hill was given as much respect and attention as anybody possibly could, in the coverage of his UFO claim.

It may come as a shocking revelation to some, but in the past not every black person was treated unfairly by every white person at every opportunity.

As we can examine the case in long hindsight, there is absolutely nothing to support Betty and Barney Hill's supposed contact with aliens as anything beyond a shared delusion and the power of suggestion.

There might be aliens out there, but there's nothing besides their testimonies indicating these people had contact with them. Third party and physical evidence conflict with their claims.

The sensation value of the story got it far more attention and lifespan than it deserved.

Also maybe another shocking revelation - sometimes people imagine things.

It does seem like something strange is going on with their story. Especially the starmap she drew with relative accuracy. It would be easy to dismiss this case as a type of psychosis if it weren't for that darn map.

From what I've seen the star maps are the usual force feeding of UFOligists to find some correlation between some supposed contactee testimony and what is going on out there in the universe.

I keep an open mind, but wait to be convinced this isn't just more strained effort dot connecting.

The thing people have to understand also is Barney Hill passed away in 1969, before the TV movie gave their case the best publicity. Betty was available for interviews for a long time, and she also is the one who copied down the Star Map.

This has nothing to do with race, just that Barney's time was cut short do to health problems.
